The Vaccines' new album is definitely the strongest one they've out their name to, so pleased with it as a whole package and Dream Lover is perfect lead single for it so it's a shame that it's not putting up a better fight for #1 album.

But acts like Will really benefit from promotion, Moreso than others - If he can make #1 with no hit single, airplay and minimal TV exposure then I'm sure he could have easily added another 10k+ in sales by getting some/any TV slots.

 

He's not had no airplay. He's got the most played song on the biggest station in the country Radio 2. He's also had a lot of support from Magic and Heat. He's on various other commercial stations as well. Really annoys me when people constantly moan when acts don't get on Radio 1 or Capital like they are the be all and end all.

Yeah, Will Young's audience is mostly going to be on R2 and Magic these days. Actually, the album is quite good and would appeal to a more "muso" audience in theory, but because it's somebody who won Pop Idol, those people aren't going to listen to it anyway.
