Believe it or not, Lawson do actually have fans? Maybe that is why it is doing well ;)

Heroes in dark green...:o Radio 2 playlisting starting to kick in? At least it should get a second week top 75.
Can't decide what's funnier...

- Lawson getting to 6 on iTunes when I thought they'd scrape top 20

- Lawson being more relevant/outselling Conor Maynard!

Though seriously, I'm shocked Roads is doing this well :o

Even if they don't grab another top 10 at next week's end there's a reason why Lawson are doing better than Conor Maynard and Tulisa: airplay. Capital and Radio 2 are really supporting them on this. It's pleasing to see they are top 10 even with the constant push backs of release date this has experienced. They'll certainly need streaming on their side to stay top 10 though but I hope I'm proved wrong.
Reasons 1 and 2 why I will not support this week's chart (Natalie La Rose success be damned).

The new 59p batch will be released tonight so hopefully some decent songs are in the batch (I Really Like You, Jealous, One Last Time etc).

.

I would fully welcome I Really Like You and Jealous being discounted, something to tackle Carly's bafflingly floppy airplay would be great. My faves never get into the batch though, it'll probably be Ayo, Lay me Down and Hey Mama knowing my luck.

Jeez, still holding strong even 4 days after the video premiere. Perhaps it will get pushed forward after all? There doesn't seem to be anything else with much hype on the horizon bar maybe 'Not Letting Go', so I really hope they manage to nab another number 1.

Ayo would be a fantastic 59p choice  I'm still surprised its done as well as Loyal though, that felt more iconic.

Don't think I've ever heard a Lawson song. Are they the ones who had Kelly Brook in one of their videos or somebody else?

Good to see Natalie La Rose so high (I imagine it will chart at #4 or something). Heard her next song is with Fetty Wap :cheer: Got high hopes for a song that combines the brilliance of Somebody and Trap Queen.

I never knew the deaf community had such influence on the charts.

Freak of the Week is great though, I wonder how well it will do?

I'm actually wondering how on earth the travesties such as Trap Queen manage to be so high in the charts :o

It's basically unlistenable...

I thought 'Shut Up and Dance' would be higher by now with the R1 airplay - here's hoping it can still go top 10, such an infectious song (although I do prefer 'Anna Sun' from a few years back, what a gem of a track.).

145. Not Letting Go (feat. Jess Glynne) - Tinie Tempah

Up 70 spots since yesterday... maybe it can get the number 1 spot.

David Zowie doing very well with little airplay!

Rita Ora has got a massive flop on her hands hasn't she?! :(

She's not on the Radio 1 playlist yet so it's definitely too early to say! I can see it picking up once she's playlisted, fingers crossed anyway.

Hmm, it seems to be going the same way as Conor and Tulisa so far. I hope not though, great song!

The reason Trap Queen is so high in the charts is because it was the most played song on Radio 1 last week! :D They dropped it off their playlist, and they were literally the only thing promoting the song so I think it'll probably drop fairly fast now (although streaming will probably keep it in the top 40 for a bit longer...).

I imagine Radio 1 will love this song. Lots of DJs seem to like it, I heard it three times in one night a couple of weeks back, and usually I hear it at least once, even in mainstream clubs.

Not sure on their total sales so I might be wrong, but Loyal probably did do better in the charts than Ayo? It got a lower peak, but Loyal wasn't held back so it had to climb into the top 10, which I don't think Ayo would've managed without being held back. And yeah, regardless of the charts, Loyal is obviously the bigger song of the two. This reminds me a bit of Breach's singles Jack and Everything You Never Had which did roughly the same in the charts.

Strangely radio 1 had David Zowie on their INMWT list for one week last week and it was taken off - out on 15/6?!

Maybe it'll be readded with a release date in July lol
