Lol yeah i thought that too :P It's actually doing good. A dark green update on kworb so it should be #29 anytime soon + some of the artists above don't have a physical copies of their songs so Shake That should chart even higher and with the DWTS performance in a couple of hours now, we will probably have another top 20 hit next week :)

DWTS didn't have any effect on iTunes unlike what we were hoping for.

1. The DWTS premiere flopped in ratings. 778 000 viewers only and came 7th in ratings.

2. Samantha only performed 2mn at the very beginning which received the fewer ratings. The audience only grow during the second hour.

3. Because it was the opening number, they didn't mention that it was sammy's new single "shake that" featuring Pitbull.

So a performance that was supposed to be a big help, ended up being useless because of all these factors

Even a radio interview on KIIS FM today gave Shake That a bigger boost than DWTS.

After DWTS: Shake That #31 (-1).

After a radio interview: #27 (+5).

ugh it almost seems like someone's doing their hardest work against Sammy :drama:

This basically confirms she NEEDS to get radio on her side for any of her singles to succeed

Love the song!! I'll grab it on iTunes later to do my bit.

It's not as good as the Pitbull colab with Jess M (what is?) but it's still fab.

I know. Literally everything was against her that night. Such a shame. Most of us were hoping for a top 20 boost but it did nothing, even lost one place :nocheer:

She definitely needs radio on board. That's the only thing that will keep the song alive but you never know with them. They paid dust to the amazing Sweet Talk.

It debuted at #32 in the charts. Not as horrible as I expected

Still a disaster though. I am not sure what is next for Sammi. It can't have been cheap to get Pitbull to feature on the track. We might get one more single and a chucked out album. The album will probably end up containing Firestarter, Soldier, Up, Sweet Talk and Shake That (she's apparently said none of these will be on the album) Well that's 5 songs there, a new single is 6. Stick on Always and Forever from the Sony advert, the b-side from Shake That (Armour) is 7, they may well stick Start Again with Stan Walker on there to make it 8, then somewhere between 2 and 4 new songs she has recorded that are cheap which makes it to between 10 and 12 songs then goodbye to Sony records.

They really should just release the album, at least after the next single.... I think they're probably waiting for a hit but it just won't happen.

I didn't even know physical singles sold that much weekly, good thing she has those to help boost her a tad.

If this was by Sia and was a hit in the US it'd be a multiplatinum ARIA smash. It pains me how Aus ignores so much local talent :(
