September 19, 200619 yr Nelly Furtado and Gnarls left from the top ten earlier this year too. These are the new rules. It's even more ridiculous that Snow Patrol have to go. Maneater and Crazy had already made #1 but we'll never know how high 'Chasing Cars' might have gone. It went from 25 to 6. Could it have gone top 3 eventually? Yes. I think it could well have as it's sales were up this week. This happening basically means the singles chart means nothing anymore
September 19, 200619 yr I think Cristinas and Beyonce's album have really underperformed esp Beyonce's Beyonce's most definately has but how can you say christina's has? Its still top 20 and got her her first uk album number one, and also once "hurt" is released it will go straight back up!!
September 19, 200619 yr by the way is LDN out next week? Shouldnt it be eligible to chart then? Edited September 19, 200619 yr by skizzo
September 19, 200619 yr Author by the way is LDN out next week? Shouldnt it be eligible to chart then? Yes on downloads only, as the single is released next week physically

Its still top 20 and got her her first uk album number one, and also once "hurt" is released it will go straight back up!! Of course it's underperformed. 5 weeks in the top 20 for an artist as big as her is appaling! When an album sells as much as Stripped did the next album is usually guarenteed to sell ATLEAST 150k first week, she sold just over half of that!
September 19, 200619 yr Yes on downloads only, as the single is released next week physically Then why is it *** on you know what? ;)
September 19, 200619 yr weak week for releases so we are seeing yo yo action, thats good news for pink, cascada, the feeling, shakira all climbing and nelly holding on is helped by the promo shes doing in the UK, snow patrol deleted is a big mistake it would have climbed this week it hasn't reached its potential maybe the record company want people to buy the album not the single
September 19, 200619 yr Author Then why is it *** on you know what? ;) The track was originally released before smile, I'm assuming they deleted the original single.
September 19, 200619 yr Shakira Shakira-still by FAR my favourite song at the moment and clearly people aren't getting bored of it with sales static and the song itself up again :-0
September 19, 200619 yr its crazy that snow patrol single is been deleted, the single could potentially go top 5 and sell loads more, the single should not be cancelled, why is everyone deleting singles these days? ALSO I HOPE scissor sisters do the double, although i have been a fan of the killers there new single is very disappointing for me.
September 19, 200619 yr X-Press 2's new single Kill 100 is in the top 40 (got an email today from a guy who works at the record company), I've no idea why it hasn't been included.
September 21, 200619 yr its crazy that snow patrol single is been deleted, the single could potentially go top 5 and sell loads more, the single should not be cancelled, why is everyone deleting singles these days? I hope Snow Patrol sell enough downloads of Chasing Cars for it to make number one this week. It's unlikely, but if it did happen it would serve them and their record company right for deleting it.
