Posted June 14, 201510 yr http://media.giphy.com/media/OCQXn39l4hfAQ/giphy.gif 32 people have voted. Will The Fear continue its reign as the highest rated Lily song since 2009 or will another song finally dethrone it? Wil 5 O'clock come last as it deserves? You'll find out soon! While I do the calculating, check out my favourite album track from each album and of course go buy everything Lily has ever released. June 14, 201510 yr Nice picks there Heezus! My personal picks would be Knock 'Em Out, Everyone's At It and Wind Your Neck In however, but she has so many fab tracks. Hard Out Here to be top 3 please!
June 14, 201510 yr Author Results tomorrow, guys. I have counted all your votes, I just need to work on the posts, but it's getting late over here.
June 15, 201510 yr Author 21 - 5 O'Clock (3.66) noLrCDzAp5M Queens of the night: 9.5 ('Dan), 9 (Josh., Riser) It's not fair and I think you're really mean (well not in this case): -1 (JosephStyles, andreweenor, Heezus), and pretty much everyone else. OK let me first say how disappointed I am in you guys. Outside the top 5 all of the songs have such abysmal scores that I hear Regina is already throwing a party. Congratulations, you're invited. T-Pain's '5 O'Clock' is probably the only song worthy of its score. It is an autotune mess that samples the first 'Who'd Have Known' verse (I have no idea why). Lily obviously did that for the moolah and good for her, as people actually bought it and earned her another UK top 10 hit, as well as her first (and probably only) US top 10 hit. June 15, 201510 yr Author 20 - Drivin' Me Wild (5.06) M6Mj6wPgQso Queens of the night: 10 (Heezus), 8.5 (Jack) It's not fair and I think you're really mean: 0 (Griff), 1 (rob_s), 2 (Slick, Aaron.), 3 (Acidburn, american oxygen.) I love this one and I love the video even more. She looks fantastic in her green dress and it's in fact one of my favourite Lily looks ever. I guess people don't like the song because it's quite monotonous, I don't think I'd like it either if it weren't for Lily. 'Drivin' Me Wild' is Lily's second ever feature after 'Oh My God'. Unlike the latter, it only charted at number 56, failing to make any impact, I guess due to lack of promotion and Common not being a big name in the UK (or anywhere, to be fair).
June 15, 201510 yr Not too fussed on those 2 and glad their in the bottom, both are pretty awful, also not keen on her feature on Pink's "True Love" which was kinda pointless and hope that finishes low as well.
June 15, 201510 yr I've honestly never heard/heard of that 5 o clock mess...wtf. How did I miss that charting top 10 here? 'Who'd Have Known' though  And Drivin Me Wild is quite good. Lovely quality to the vocals.
June 15, 201510 yr Author 19 - Shame for You (5.38) vmK9VV1ko40 Queens of the night: 8.5 (Liam), 8 (Heezus) It's not fair and I think you're really mean: 0 (Griff), 2 (Fgiboy2511), 3 (rob_s, Davidson) This one has a fantastic chorus, but the verses are lacking something. Still, I played it to death when it came out. 'Shame for You' is Lily's only double-A side single. Unfortunately, they didn't make a video for it and the attention shifted to the scandalous 'Alfie', despite the former actually being track 1 on the CD Single (not that it should matter). Buzzjack shows no love for it, as it gets eleven 5s and only two scores of 8 and above, one being mine.
June 16, 201510 yr 21 - 5 O'Clock (3.66) Queens of the night: 9.5 ('Dan), 9 (Josh.)I gave this a 9 too. Hopefully my rate was counted anyway :kink:
June 16, 201510 yr Author I gave this a 9 too. Hopefully my rate was counted anyway :kink: Yes it was, I edited the post. Thanks for pointing out!
June 18, 201510 yr Author 18 - Just Be Good to Green (5.66) 7Kk-dgcTSwY Queens of the night: 11 (Riser), 10 (Josh.), 9.5 (Heezus), 9 (Davidson, Liam, Dobbo, HausofKubrick) It's not fair and I think you're really mean: -1 (Aled), 0 (mr_aly), 2 (rob_s), 2.5 (andreweenor), 3 (Fgiboy2511, Aaron.) 'Just Be Good to Green' is Professor Green's second single and heavily samples 1983 hit 'Just Be Good to Me' by The SOS Band. It charted at #5 making it Lily's highest charting collaboration. If I remember correctly, it also was the last song we got before Lily ~retired~ in 2010. I guess people on here despise Green, hence JBGTG ending up so low. It's the only explanation I can think of since the song itself is actually fantastic. 17 - Somewhere Only We Know (5.97) CW_ZiojrkVY Queens of the night: 10 (Ultraviolence1989, Heezus, Slick), 9 (JosephStyles, 'Dan, Josh.) It's not fair and I think you're really mean: -1 (rob_s, Chez Wombat), 0 (mr_aly, Fgiboy2511), 3 (troublepink), 3.5 (Aled), 4 (Joe., Davidson) Lily's third number one and a Keane cover. I much prefer this to the original, which is great, but I think the song suits Lily's voice more. I recommend everyone pop over to Spotify and check out the Spotify Sessions version. So sweet! Unfortunately, Somewhere Only We Know was overplayed on TV and radio and many people grew sick of it. Up next we have another Sheezus single before we get to the top 15. Which one will it be?
June 18, 201510 yr Somewhere Only We Know is gorgeous  Just Be Good To Green is decent, Lily's parts are the best of course.
June 18, 201510 yr 'Just Be Good To Green' is basically a gateway drug to 'Dub Be Good To Me' and completely disposable afterwards. Well, from my experience at least.
June 18, 201510 yr Just Be Good To Green is a decent enough and is one of her better collaborations and deserves a better average, but "Somewhere Only We Know", I'm sorry I just don't see the fuss about it, I find it very dull and average and just too safe, I'm glad it was a successful comeback for her and considering how the other Sheezus singles fared, this was a much needed success. The next track out I reckon is gonna be "As Long As I Got You", or maybe even "Our Time", both of which are bland and dire.
June 18, 201510 yr Somewhere Only We Know was decent enough but annoying that it overshadowed the far superior Hard Out Here :(.
June 21, 201510 yr Author 16 - As Long As I Got You (5.98) nu905oeqrOg Queens of the night: 11 (DJHazey), 10 (Ultraviolence1989), 9 (Riser) It's not fair and I think you're really mean: -1 (Mackenzie), 0 (Griff), 3 (Jonjo, Fgiboy2511, Aaron.) I don't have anything to say about this, except that it is Lily's first single to miss the top 100, I think? Ouch. At least we got a video. 15 - Air Balloon (6.16) vo9Fja5x04o Queens of the night: 10 (Jack), 9.5 (Ultraviolence1989, Heezus, Riser), 9 (DJHazey) It's not fair and I think you're really mean: -1 (Davidson), 0 (ketalina), 1 (Aled.), 3 (Joe., mr_aly, Griff, dandystar) ) Lily's most baffling release to date and I'll go so far as to say it probably cost her her career. I've grown to love this, the video is brilliant and the song did go top 10, BUT it's not what she should've put out (I think she said she didn't want, either?) and definitely not what the public wants at all. To think 'Silver Spoon' and 'Wind Your Neck In' remained unreleased :drama:. Fun fact: They did put out a limited to 500 copies 7" for this. It's yet to sell out. Second ouch. Oh and if you like remixes checkout this one, it's fantastic: XjeGjQSEkMg
