I don't think it's flopping THAT badly. It's still climbing on iTunes, slowly but surely, and she more promo.

 

It's a bit of a silly/cowardly thing to do, and frustrated for the fans that bought it wanting her to chart well - I saw an Instagram post from her last week saying something like 'I'm proud, no matter what happens next week' which obviously meant the chart position was playing on her mind.

I didn't even know you were allowed to do that!!! poor Leona Lewis should've done the same thing, as she's now being labelled as a flop in the media.

That's just the same as what was posted earlier though, it doesn't explain how she has "decided to make the track available outside of the official charts" :unsure: she must just be giving it away free I guess.

Selena's new song 'Good For You' is out apparently :o Needs to be absolutely massive if there is any justice. Not sure how an OA/OS release will work for her, but hopefully the strength of the song is all it needs to do decently. <3

'The Heart Wants What It Wants' made it to #15 on iTunes, so I imagine the new one will do similarly (even though it hasn't been held back for a ridiculous amount of time, as I imagine she's built up a strong fanbase here now)

Ooh Selena actually being released! I posted in the Selena thread earlier that I saw the single on her artist page for 79p but said it was unavailable when clicked, I half thought they'd end up replacing it with a pre-order. I'm glad they haven't as sales are so low she should be able to get into the top 10 with ease! :D

Really then she's just trying something different, there's no harm to that apart from to us chart geeks <_< I don't think her album sales will be hit particularly hard from the singles not being chart eligible, if anything not being branded with the label of a flop before the albums even released could benefit her in the long term
