Caught up on EE following my holiday and wish I hadn't bothered. So boring, which is a shame after things started picking up with the Lucy murder case taking centre stage again. I'm still looking forward to Kathy's return but I have a feeling it's going to be extremely sensationalised which will just destroy any emotional value and turn it into a joke. Recent spoilers suggests there's going to be a mini repeat of Danielle-gate too when Ian sees Kathy again.

Les was awful last night. I've not minded him before but the actor is being given a chance to show what he can do and it was terrible. Paul also still needs a slap.

Friday night's was okay but that's mainly down to Carol. I just have no time for the stories involving Vincent, Pam and Les and the Masoods at the moment because nothing's happening with them. As T Boy said, it is just people talking about secrets without revealing anything and no-one particularly cares anyway! :P

I share similar thoughts on Les. Crap character anyway but the fact he can't act just makes him unwatchable. Paul does nothing but tense his jaw in every scene.

I had no idea that they were surrounded by what looks like normal homes! Does that not risk storyline leaks?

They leak 95% of their own storylines anyway.

Am I the only one who doesn't get the fuss with Kathy? She was terrible in Hollyoaks and from what iv'e seen on Youtube She wasnt that great on Eastenders either.

I'm guessing that's coming from somebody whose never watched Kathy "live", as episodes are broadcast. Watching clips on YouTube isn't quite the same thing, and won't allow you to get a proper idea of a character.

 

Obviously no character is for everyone, and Kathy/Gillian won't be everyone's fave, but her history with the show alone is enough to get people excited about her return.

I actually can't wait for Kathy to be back tbh.

Marcus Christie returns next week too, plus we meet Gavin for the first time. Exciting!
