At least Ronnie finally looked like she actually cared about the child she has that she'd been longing for the best part of the last eight years.

Although what actually was Ronnie and Roxy's plan? I couldn't work out what it was and they were really shooting themselves in the feet by allowing Roxy and Matthew to go that far with Charlie.

I think Ronnie mentioned that Sia the Lawyer had sorted something that meant if Charlie left the country with Matthew, he'd lose rights or something?? Things moved too quickly and just out of nowhere for me to take in anything that was actually happening. But I do agree that it was nice to finally see Ronnie properly care about her child. Considering she's become so messed up due to the death of two children and how much Matthew was kinda of a miracle, her care hasn't really reflected that.

I was a bit disappointed with Charlie's departure. I liked Roxy acting as some sort of double agent stuck in the middle of the two of them, and thought for a bit that Charlie had successfully deceived them both to get one up on Ronnie by taking Matthew away. As much as Ronnie is the eternal sufferer, I felt like she deserved to have Matthew taken from her, so I thought it was a shame that Charlie left him behind. I really like Ronnie as a character but think she's treated Charlie awfully and don't agree that he should leave Matthew behind - there were no signs he would turn out like some sort of Nick Cotton character as much as Ronnie tried to make him believe that he would.

Overall though, Charlie was a lot more interesting when we all thought he was EVIL. As soon as we realised he had good reasons for faking Nick's death, he became a bit lame.

I do wonder why DTC bothered to bring in Charlie's character in the first place considering everything from this year has been a lengthy, and tiresome, lead up to his exit. There was perfect chemistry between Ronnie and Charlie this time last year and that was just spoiled by post-New Year events. I know characters can't be happy for long in soapland but it was just unnecessary for things to work out the way they did. Definitely seems in general that DTC has had a lack of direction in regards to his storylines this year, whereas everything was well thought out and exciting in 2014.
I suppose there's some chance that DTC had other plans in the works for Ronnie and Charlie before the decision to write him out, and was then left to come up with a fairly swift exit storyline.
Having said that, what about Lola's exit? So perhaps not.

Lola's exit was ridiculous.

Billy: Jay's been arrested so you don't need to go on the run.

Lola: but you betrayed me.

Billy: I'm really sorry and did it because I love you. You just got a new job and Jay will need you by his side.

Lola: in London I'm just another single mum.

Billy: but that'll be the same in Newcastle. And here you have family that can help.

Lola:...........yeah I'm still just gonna leave anyway.

WHYYY in this era of Eastenders does everyone run off to Newcasvtle with no links n nothing to do there like a mythical land??? Joke!

Just caught up on tonight's - I liked the scene where Marcus was questioning Max on his childhood. I've found the court room scenes before then to be very calm and relaxed; not at all dramatic and tense like we were lead to believe. When do we get the 'twists and turns'?

Also, if they say "all rise" one more time, I'm gonna spit out some Blue lyrics.

The woman who says it is such a miserable bitch

There's been a 'big twist' coming on Thursday when Jane gives evidence. We still don't know what she's told Marcus Christie for Max's alibi.

Jane is totes going to claim that she was bonking Max at the time Lucy was killed.
I'm a bit curious what on earth did Vincent and Ronnie do to Charlie  and that outcome at the end, I saw that coming a mile off.

So did I :P

I really hope Charlie isn't dead. Poor Dot and Matthew. I actually now have an active dislike for Ronnie. All this because she found him boring

I was convinced about the duff-duff when Jane told Masood she didn't want him there at the court, given she was in a relationship with him at the time.

I liked that Charlie was back and there's now a bit of mystery surrounding his disappearance - more exciting than the apparent exit on Monday. Someone on DS reckons Vincent let him off and him and Claudette are plotting to take down the Mitchells which would be good.

Really interested to find out this beef Claudette has with the Mitchells.

''Menopausal Barbie''
