So I am now very doubtful Kylie will get a top 10 album

 

Already in/going to be in charts and will sell loads Ellie Goulding, Coldplay, Elvis, Little Mix, Sam Smith etc

 

Released same day - ben Haenow, Justin Bieber, Eva Cassidy, Ed Sherran re-issue, One Direction, Andre Rieu etc

 

Plus many more that will sell lots...

 

No one is buying normal version..... people just buying deluxe version, no vinyl sales until 27th and not many downloaded it on ITunes..... hopefully Kylie fans will get behind it

I don't think it's too much of a big deal if it misses the Top 10. A lot of Christmas albums by popular artists haven't managed that:

Destiny's Child - 8 Days of Christmas - #117

 

So yeah, if Kylie peaked within the Top 10 that would actually be very good. As you say, the competition is hotting up, so I'd be happy enough if it went Top 15.

 

Obviously there's some notable Christmas albums that did go Top 10, for instance Susan Boyle's The Gift and Home For Christmas reached #1 & #9 respectively. Then of course there's Michael Bublé's Christmas which was phenomenally successful (#1, 2,200,000+ sales!).

She shouda gotten Josh Groban involved, his X-mas album is one of the best selling ever and a song with him would do more for her than the likes of Iggy Pop or

James Corden.

I see no effort so far tbh.

Christmas albums aren't really a huge deal in the UK, so if she does manage a decent peak with this then it'll be down to HER as much as anything. At this time of year though, sales are far more important than where it actually lands on the chart. If she does all the promo out there it should sell nicely until January and rack up a good total.

 

Anyway, I'm guessing #18 (for now) with a total of about 70k before years end.

Chances are she is just promoting CIN and the snazzy shirt, but maybe she has a spot? Wishful thinking I guess.

well she is doing Royal Variety filming on Friday 13th but that may well be early on and she could zoom over to somewhere to perform later on........

 

I can see her doing lots of promo.... she is going to Australia also to promote so she wants sales...... she will no doubt be performing on Australian X-factor... maybe her duet with Dannii........

 

She will definitely do either X-factor or Strictly....... she has TFI Friday..... she will do 1 of either G Norton or Alan Carr also.........and I think she will do J Ross........

 

small interviews with This Morning, Breakfast TV/Lorraine also will defo happen.

 

I guess it is just choosing the right songs off the album.... will she go new or will she go covers.......

Just heard clip of only you on iTunes. I quite like it. It sounds mature and her voice is great. Well produced. If it gets appropriate radio support and promotion, it could be a minor hit as the original is popular and Kylie has done a good version here.

It sounds great, in some ways, it outruns my expectation. I didn't think it would work but yeah, this can do for me.

Doing well for the album as the album back up into ITunes top 100 pre-order and the single is already top 200

 

Got a good premiere on BBC Radio 2 with Ken Bruce.
