In last place is a song from her Greatest Hits and also taken from her Heart Of Stone tour (I think) A cover version of a song by Jimmy Clay. Showing off her powerhouse vocals, it's a nice song, but clearly not nice enough. Next up is an oldie, Sunny from her debut album. It's another lovely song but not one I go back to too often. Oh No, Not My Baby was one of the new songs from her Greatest Hits, not as good at Whenever You're Near but still a nice rock-ish tune.

Interestingly, depsite being the least successful album of her 80's revival, it was the only one to have all its singles go top 40 in the UK. Charity single Love Can Build A Bridge ties with Sonny And Cher classic I Got You Babe which i thought would have gone higher. Love Hurts single Could've Been You also drops out, a decent song but odd choice for single.

I don't have much to say on AIRWTD, it's nice, but nothing overly WOW. Still, lovely. Bang Bang howver, now this is fun. The version that went top 40 here was the original 60's version, released a few years before Nancy Sinatra's more famous version. Cher re-recorded this for her Cher album in the 80's, such is her legendaryness that she covers herself. Now, this rock version is WAY better than the original and the version from her first Farewell tour is amaze, so that's what video I posted.

Dead Ringer For Love is a duet with Meatloaf and marked the start of RockCher. A really punchy number, it's one of the very few Meatloaf songs I can bear to listen to. Walking In Memphis was from the It's A Man's World album and is a cover of the song by Marc Cohn. Cher's version was a bit more successful, getting to #11 in the UK. Dov'e l'amore is a single from Believe and one of the best IMO. Such a great latin sounding number, didn't far as well as some of the other singles, but still, lovely song.

Love And Understanding was the first single from the Love Hurts album and was a pretty decent hit, making it to #10 over here. One By One was another top 10, getting to #7 and was the second European single from It's A Man's World, also the best performing song of that album in this rate, yay. All Or Nothing comes from Believe and was a minor hit, while The Music's No Good Without You remains her most recent UK top 10 hit. The lead single from Living Proof, it's one of my faves. This means no more singles from that album too.
July 17, 20159 yr Dead Ringer For Love such a great song, just love the speed of it's like it's going a 1000 times a minute and just love it, and Meatloaf, honestly do like one or two of his stuff "I Would Do Anything For Love" is always a welcome classic. "Walking In Memphis" another brilliant track, actually heard Cher's version before I heard Marc Cohn's, and they are both fantastic, but Cher just about got that edge for me, I love the lyrics and has a certain sadness to it, Cher's vocals just sound so rich and powerful. "Dov'e L'amore" to be honest not one of my fave Cher songs, not that it's bad or anything, it's just that she's had so much better. "The Music's No Good Without You" is pretty decent, but again it didn't really click with me. "All Or Nothing" is something I rarely go back to when I'm having a Cher moment, but has a great chorus. "Love And Understanding" just brilliant, Cher's rock era was just the best. "One By One" another amazing track, but the single version of this is the best and first heard this on one of the old NOW albums, can't remember which one think it was 33, but anyway became an instant Cher classic for me, just loved it and still ranks in my all time Cher top 20.

Not a personal fave of Cher's, she isn't keen on this song, but performs it anyway, Queen. I really like this one, one of the first Cher songs I remember hearing thanks to MotherRegina. Just missed the UK top 10, hitting #11, so justice is served here as it makes it to the top 10.

July 23, 20159 yr Love and Understanding and Dead Ringer are solid gold. I'm probably one of Meat Loaf's biggest fans so I'm completely biased but that song is a beast. No wrong answers from here on out though. Everything else is incredible. I Found Someone better be at least top 3 though. I wouldn't even mind if it wins, it's epic. Pity I forgot to vote. Oh well, it got top 10. One of the Love Hurts singles and just an all out amazing rock number, originally by Bonnie Tyler whose version pales in comparison. This only just made the top 40 here, hitting #37. But still, a classic tune. The Shoop Shoop song however, was huge here, bagging her a #1. Used in her film Mermaids (which is pretty fab and on Netflix) another cover, originally written by Rudy Clark and covered by a lot of different people. Cher's is probs the best known verison, #1 for 5 weeks here and one of the best selling females singles of the 1990's too. Slay.
July 24, 20159 yr Gutted that "Save Up All Your Tears" is out so soon, but glad it made the top 10 here though, can't believe it only went to #37 here in the UK, it should have been massive and definitely ranks as one of her all time best. Cher's version of this song I do agree is the best one, not too fussed on Bonnie Tyler's version, but Robin Beck does a decent version of this song as well. "Shoop Shoop" another classic Cher number, so brilliant I remember watching Mermaids on TV when I was a kid, and was kinda disappointed that there weren't no actual mermaids in it, but great movie though. "Moonstruck" was Cher's best movie in my opinion.

Original version is actually pretty decent by Miley's standards but Cher's version just blows it out of the water, so good. Helped by a performance on X-factor it got to #25 and was her first top 40 since 2001, amaze.
July 25, 20159 yr Had no idea this countdown had started! I wish 'All I Really Want To Do' was higher but not too surprised by it being where it is. Yay for the rest of my key favourites being Top 15, although 'I Hope You Find It' and 'The Music's No Good Without You' deserved a lot better. The former was one of my favourite songs of 2013; could have it on repeat and it would still be stunning. Thrilled, but in hindsight gobsmacked, she got a place on X Factor to perform it.

A song where she visits a fortune teller who tells her that her man is cheating on her, but it turns out the fortune teller is the skank in question so Cher shoots them both. Lovely. Barely made the top 40, peaking at #36. Fared better in the US where it got to #1.
