I doubt the LD's would like being called 'left-wing'...

How many Lib Dems do you know? Most of the ones I know would describe themselves as left of centre.

To clarify - I meant 'described to the general public as left-wing' as that could well lose them centre-right votes. Also, they might lose centre-left votes, as they 'might as well just go the whole hog & vote Labour'.

It increased it by 1%, soooo. This is the first time ever, and it was by 1%

And that is because left wing parties GET MORE VOTES IN TOTAL EVERY SINGLE TIME than the evil right wing ones.

I will let you claim that as long as you agree to stop calling today's Lib Dems, only two of whom were in parliament for 2010-2015, yellow Tories.

As we got the disgusting Bojo and his disgusting far right government, Spain got a SOCIALIST government, following in the footsteps of Portugal!

The government has announced the parliamentary recess dates for this calendar year. To the surprise of nobody who knows how Johnson works (or, more accurately, doesn't work), the breaks are unusually long.
He should just take the next 5 years off.

So you do have a sense of humour, after all. ;)

Is this insensitive or the truth (or both)?

'If you can't afford food, stop having so many children,' says Tory council chief after report on poverty in his borough

Or a URL perhaps more acceptable to lefties...

Thanks, reading the Mail causes my pentagram to itch something awful.

Nuanced issue. Higher education correlates to lower birth rates and that’s the only moral way of reducing it for future generations.

For the children already born society cannot abandon them.

I would say better health contributes more than greater education to lowering birth rates - just look at the size of families the Victorians had - and how many died in infancy :(

I agree on your second point, but at the same time they shouldn't be encouraged to have more.

Well, this didn’t take long. Just a month since the election and we find that one of the new Tory MPs used to make his living as a pimp.

I would say USED TO are the operatives words here. Lots of people have past misdemeanours but the country would be at a stand still if no-one was allowed to move on because of them.

Boris should remove the whip from him for now, but start having the background of newly elected Labour MP's closely looked into as well... ;)

I remember a labour MP having to apologise for using drugs in the past after being called out for it by the press

Used to as in until last month. We are not talking about something in the distant past.

What happened to taking back control? If it really is true that we have been governed ny Brussels, surely MPs are about to have a lot more work to do.

aye, a lot of work to find a replacement sugar daddy service for Tory shareholders.

Chris, it's not fine because he's some ol' Tory boy. MPs are representatives of the people and should be held to a high standard. That means that running anything that furthers the exploitation of women should be a disqualifying factor.

And men. It seems he didn’t discriminate when it came to making money out of vulnerable people.
