With a SUPER weak week like last one they could have done it easily... but Silentó will win this.

Must say I rather like the sudden nature of this new release! This kind of spontaneity is something I'd like to see more of <3

I would expect a new One Direction single to hold up a bit better than 5SOS, granted it could depend on the track (which I haven't heard) but they are a bigger name and their type of music holds a little more appeal outside of their core fanbase

121. Silentó - Watch Me (Whip / Nae Nae)

I just realised that coincidently Silento is the same age that Soulja Boy was when he released Crank That.

And also coincidentally they're both the worst songs from their respective years.

God help us if this Silento shite actually gets to #1. :puke:

1D currently sitting at #1. They might be taking good advantage of a low sales week, here.

Most of us were saying 5SOS was going to end up at #1 that week  I'm not falling in that trap again.

1 One Direction - Drag Me Down

35 Joe Stone - The Party (This Is How We Do It) [feat. Montell Jordan]

45 Silento - Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)

152 Kygo - Nothing Left (feat. Will Heard)

231 Bon Jovi - Saturday Night Gave Me Sunday Morning

309 Shift K3Y - 2 Doors

420 Dillon Francis & DJ Snake - Get Low

443 Duke Dumont - Ocean Drive

I'm hoping for 1D number one, it is actually a good song. Failing that I'd like to see Black Magic get another week. I'd love for Bon Jovi to chart!

2 Sigma - Glitterball (feat. Ella Henderson) 0.3638

!!!! Already a MUCH bigger lead than I expected :o YASSSSSSS BOYS

I certainly wouldn't rule them off #1 next Friday, since sales are VERY low for the contenders.
One direction have a 70% lead already.

YIKES!!! :o as Joe said could be a contender for the #1 single, I wouldn't rule them out just yet.

Maybe more acts should do this more often.

WOW at the lead. Let's see how they hold up throughout the week but it seems THIS time OA/OS is on their side.
Even if 1D sell very little after today and tomorrow, I can see their lead in sales from today alone being maybe enough to pip it, considering they will still probably increase their lead today.
It helps that the sales at the top are quite low atm, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them at #1.

The next 1D update will be interesting! What's the record % lead?

And tbh the song is pretty drab.

More importantly will it do a See You Again or She's Kinda Hot?

Probably somewhere in-between.

No doubt most of their fanbase will have downloaded the song soon, so for the rest of the week after that it's going to rely on the general public hearing the song somewhere and enough of them wanting to download it. It's difficult to predict, but I think it will probably do better than She's Kinda Hot, at least on release week.

I will judge it once I hear it (1D) but I don't mind Silento going to #1, as as bad as it is this "song" is stuck in my head!
