I wonder could Joe Weller get to iTunes #1? I think not, it's still a long shot even with 1D slumping, and he will be extremely frontloaded

I listened to this song. It's "in trend" but quite non-event really

Not another one of this Banter Ladz Youtubers <_< . Seeing as he has put his song up on Spotify only a few days ago that may put him at a disadvantage, well hopefully

Wow another YouTuber that his seemingly come out of nowhere to slay the charts!

Will he fall like a Janoskian or does he have some staying power like 1D?

I hope Cilla can get a Top 40. Screw the talentless pop-tarts like CRJ and idiots like Beiber plus the faceless dance crap - be a fitting tribute to have REAL TALENT in the chart.

I agree that it would be great for Cilla to go top 40 as a tribute to such a wonderful person but do you have to be so derogatory otherwise?? You do it constantly and it's quite snobbish - just because you dislike someone, it doesn't make them talentless. It's the kinda thing a 12 year old would say. Grow up.

At the end of the day, it's stating an opinion. How many of the Top 40 will be remembered in 50 years time? Answer: NONE!

Yes it would be fantastic if Cilla was to go Top40 as a tribute to her but is there any need at all to say it in that way?

There's stating an opinion and there's crossing a line. You frequently do the latter.

There are ways to state your opinion without being so childish and rude. Plus, who knows what the next 50 years will bring? Cilla is hardly a classic 60s artist musically, especially up to some acts. Cilla was a 60s legend, but let's not get carried away.

I suggest you moderate the way you express your opinions.

About the same amount remembered from a typical 1965 top 40

I can't speak for everybody, but there's plenty in the top 40 right now that I'll remember for a long time.

Joe Weller is a very funny guy and I enjoy his YouTube videos a lot but the song really isn't all that, it's a bit too generic and still has something a bit off-sounding about it, yay for more internet generation success tho yasss

It reminds me a lot of Conor Maynard's "Talking About", a song which I'm still questioning on why it flopped.

Maybe 'cause it was a bit naff, I'm only one person but I didn't buy it after owning all his previous singles, I liked all of Conor's songs previously but I don't think he pulled of the change in sound at all (for me anyway). It's a shame stuff like Vegas Girl and Can't Say No weren't bigger really because they're pretty nice pop songs after all.

I'm now imagining an older ML Hammer in 40 years time who has brought his children up listening to the classics such as Freak of the Week and Trap Queen  I'd love to see Cilla Black chart in the top 40 as well but I hate the attitude that because some song is by a boy band or pop act that it's any less "real music" than the music they like, it's simply not a fair attitude to have.

I'd say if this Youtuber reaches number one on iTunes he'll be guaranteed a top 40 place this week no matter how hard he falls, it was enough for 5SOS two weeks ago so I can't see why not

There's plenty in today's top 40 that'll be remembered inc ed Sheeran and the like!
At the end of the day we don't know who or what from the current chart will be remembered in 50 years time. I'm pretty sure there were people around in 1965 who didn't think Cilla would be remembered though.
