Speaking of Summer, there were two duels going on in these results, one at the bottom, between Summer and Don't. As you can see, Ed won in the end but for most of these results he and Calvin were getting merely pity points as they struggled to break off the bottom end of the table. The biggest AQ we lose is one Iggy Azalea, predicted to finish 11th but ending up 37th. But I guess we have found it with possibly the best girlband song in a long long time for Ugly Heart which would have been a lovely winner (and at times it was challenging), and Blank Space becomes the final of the 3 round 1 survivors, and given it probably should have been among the AQs in the first place that's not much of a surprise. But the real story is the dogfight that was going on between the top 2. While Ghost was ahead for the majority of my adding up, there were a few exciting votes where Crying For No Reason pulled ahead. Is Ghost more a song of the year due to its mammoth hit status? Certainly. But I'd also rank it as a contender to take every #1 spot every year so I'd have quite liked to see Katy B triumph for a talking point. Still, it's close enough it could yet do it in a future year. Also, Ella didn't flop YAY

August 10, 20159 yr I don't think Ten Walls would have made it even if I did vote! It would probably have got my 25 but I'd also have given big points to 'A Sky Full Of Stars' (that one missing out IS slightly annoying :P but my not voting here was not as 'disastrous' as in 2013). Very pleasing to see FAUL, Lorde, HAIM and FKA twigs get AQs and Tinashe nearly coming top 15. The actual top 15 is rather underwhelming to be honest but I wouldn't have changed any of it.
