I've just had a look at the La Liga table and Sevilla have already qualified for the 2016/17 Europa League so they're already primed to take back their trophy if this season's final doesn't go according to plan :lol:

Delighted to be there, both teams are better than their league form suggests. Wouldn't surprise me at all if the game lasts 120 minutes, just thank the lord for no away goals anymore :lol:

Great to see Liverpool in their 11th European final - really want to win it now - Def the most beautiful football trophy in the world and if we do that will be 4 UEFAs and 5 Euro Cups - sounds nice :)!

The final is like a play off for a Champions League place, the type that the 4th place team has to play at the start of the season. If Liverpool finish 7th in the Premier League then they could get a Europa League spot if Man Utd win the FA Cup so they would have that to fall back on.

 

 

Europa League has been more entertaining than Champions League this season, and last year's final was probably the best football match of the season, so I'm pretty stoked for the final. Especially as this time on paper it's much more evenly matched. Either side could hammer the other and it wouldn't be a shock.

How can you like the World Cup but not the UEFA cup lol they are similar in a way. Love the base of it - something cool looking. The premier league trophy is awful looking looks like it was designed by sky sports - very tacky and post 1992. The original football league which is now given to the winners of the championship is quality as well - real antique 19th century look to it!

The Premier League trophy looked especially beautiful in those gold and blue ribbons that they had for Leicester in my opinion.

The final of the Europa League will on BT Sport Showcase on Freeview channel 59.

Devastating, not gonna lie. 2nd half was truly terrible, we literally have no in-game management at all. Only blessing is Klopp will get it right, and no European football I guess. I expect us to there or thereabouts near the top next year.

 

Moreno was absolutely dire. I will personally pay for his bus fare to the airport, guy does not have a brain.

If they can again that'd be so impressive - like a video game achievement in its unlikeliness. There is so much weirdness with them being so consistent in a continent-wide competition and specifically this one now the winners have such a narrow route to defend the title.

Indeed its some achievement - Ajax and Bayern did it in the 60s/70s with the european cup but with the ammount of games these days.

 

Devastating watch for liverpool fan like me but we didnt play near well enough in terms of game management etc. Even in the first half Sevilla seemed the better side. We seemed to run around like headless chickens and have no 'brain' to our running. As its always said football isnt played with the feet its played with your head. The only players who turned up were Milner, Toure and Can - the rest were poor. Sturridge with an unreal finish aside and Coutinho was marginalised on the left. Ferminho was ok i guess. The quicker we install Brad Smith at left back the better!!

Europa League starts again tomorrow - my team Cliftonville play Duffendange of Luxembourg - going to the home league next week :)
