I know it's already out that's why I said it. He was originally meant to release it on the 28th. Maybe 1D releasing their song at the same time put people off buying the Silentó song

Oh OK fair enough, I think I misinterpreted your post! And I very much doubt 1D releasing has anything to do with it, it's just had no airplay before this week so it wasn't exactly gonna be a big hit, not right away anyway. Hopefully it stays that way :drama:

That was my first time hearing Silento in full and it actually was as bad as I originally thought it was, sadly I still think it's going to rise in the next few weeks, especially if streaming continues to pick up for it, it really is just random noise in a way. And next up is Trap Queen, I bet ML Hammer is enjoying this sequence :D

I can't see how Cilla not charting in the top 40 is "disrespectful" either. Does that mean that everybody who didn't buy the single was showing disrespect towards her? I wish she'd reached it too but I didn't buy it and it wasn't out of disrespect.

Biography

Joe Stone can be seen as the newest entry onto the deep/future house scene, as his debut single 'The Party (This Is How We Do It)' is truly making waves among the DJ community. But while the name is new to the scene, the background of this DJ/productional act already speaks volumes, ranging from classical music training to producing timeless house tunes and remixes for some of the biggest names out there.

Joe Stone is the alter ego of Dutch DJ Maurice Oude Booyink, who's been working as a DJ/producer for years. He starts his musical career at an early age, playing keys at the age of seven, and it doesn't take him long to create new, original melodies. Growing up on a diet of funk and soul music, he masters these styles in his first band at the age of sixteen, followed by producing his first dance records.

While playing in bands, Maurice releases solo material under his Inmado guise as well as doing productional work for other artists (R3hab, Sharon Doorson a.o.). When he wins a Spinnin' Records DJ Contest with his version of DVBBS' single 'Pyramids', it immediately draws attention from the world famous label.

When working on new music, Joe Stone gets joined by Mark Simmons, who's built quite a name for himself already, being one of the producers behind Rockefeller (scoring big with 'Do It 2 Nite' in 2005) and the Beatfreakz project, reaching high in 2006 with their singles 'Somebody's Watching Me' (#3 in the UK Singles Chart) and, that same year, 'Superfreak' (#7 in the UK Singles Chart).

'The Party (This Is How We Do It)'

Right now, Joe Stone's first single 'The Party (This Is How We Do It)' is gaining lots of attention, as it toys with the eponymous 1995 Montell Jordan hit, repackaging it in a solid 21st century house groove, featuring the original vocals approved by Montell Jordan himself. Cool stuff that's promising a lot for the future. And be sure, there will be much more to enjoy from Joe Stone. - Facebook

This is a really good re-working, there's just something about it that gets me pumped, much like Bump & Grind from last year, shame it couldn't replicate the success of that.

I thought the fact that "This Is How We Do It" would give Joe Stone a hit :drama: which sucks because I love this song

Probably #9 on sales too, pulling a "Rumors" more like

'The Party (This Is How We Do It)' pretty much exactly mirroring Pep & Rash then as I predicted! Good to see it making the top 20 anyway, great song. I haven't ever heard the original 'This Is How We Do It' though which may be affecting that judgement.
This song gives me such a 90s dance feeling i love it.
This sounds absolutely naff to my ears oops, not gutted that it's missed the top 10 at all. Quite messy in parts too.
~it feels so good in my hood~ :music:
