August 17, 20159 yr Ahhh that's better! I was gonna go for Ursula, but thought it'd be better to go for 'Maleficent' as it was the most recent Disney villain film. Sorry to those (and myself!!!) I didn't go for the former, scoring us an extra point!
August 17, 20159 yr Author Merly won an OSCAR for The Devil Wears Prada?! I've not seen it enough times but really?! Soz Theo, my wording is a mess there, but I did mean she'd just been nominated... Onto Question 5... !
August 17, 20159 yr I thought Malificent would have had a higher amount considering she's the only villain to receive her own main film and it was so recent to! :o
August 17, 20159 yr Author 5) Name a black and white film. http://33.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lyl2taXj931qe6mn3o1_500.gif |6| The Artist | (J▲hq, Regina, Lindsey ♌, Jonjo, Fgiboy2511, THEO., FROOT) |4| Casablanca| (Joe, Chez Wombat, Leonardo, Jay, Haus) |3| Citizen Kane | (Ultraviolence1989, 『bré』, Ninjabait, Tim) |0| Frankenweenie | (Spadam) |0| A Streetcar Named Desire | (Robot) |0| Gone with the Wind| (Josh) |0| Journey to the moon | (NellyDoll. S) |0| Some Like It Hot | (Mack) |0| Schindler's List | (Dobbo) |0| It's a Wonderful Life | (burbe) |0| Psycho | (Acidburn) The Artist, really? I guess it did win an Oscar recently, but it did not come to mind for me at all. Maybe I'm just bitter because The Artist didn't immediately spring to mind, but I thought there would be a lot more for timeless classics, Casablanca and Citizen Kane!
August 17, 20159 yr I went for 'The Artist' because it was so recent and the main buzz around it was for it being black and white. :P
August 17, 20159 yr I went with 'The Artist' as it was the most recent B&W film I could think of and due to the Oscar win too! I was gonna go for either 'Psycho' or 'It's A Wonderful Life' originally, but SO glad I didn't in the end! :o (That gif is hurting my eyes!)
August 17, 20159 yr I went for 'The Artist' because it was so recent and the main buzz around it was for it being black and white. :P I thought the buzz was around it being a silent movie, but after looking at a list I put recency and Oscars together too.
August 17, 20159 yr She never won for The Devil Wears Prada  Soz Theo, my wording is a mess there, but I did mean she'd just been nominated... I confused myself but still I'm pretty gobsmacked that it was even considered/nominated...
August 17, 20159 yr Author Question 6: Name (or link me to?) an iconic moment at any Oscars ceremony. http://media3.onsugar.com/files/2013/02/08/0/192/1922398/37b1b63542dc4e1e_lawrence_trip_2.xxxlarge.gif |6| Jennifer Lawrence falls | (J▲hq, Jonjo, Jay, Tim, NellyDoll. S, FROOT, Haus) |5| The Oscar Selfie | (Chez Wombat, Ultraviolence1989, Robot, Lindsey ♌, burbe, Josh) |1| John Travolta introduces Idina Menzel as 'Adele Dazeem'| (Joe, Leonardo) |0| Sheena Easton performs | (Spadam) |0| Oscar streaker | (Mack) |0| Amy Adams dances with Pharrell | (Regina) |0| Les Misérables cast medley | (Fgiboy2511) |0| Neil Patrick Harris' showtune | (Ninjabait) |0| Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up | (『bré』) |0| James Franco awkwardness | (THEO.) |0| Adrian Brody kisses Halle Berry | (Dobbo) |0| Halle Berry speech | (Acidburn) This was tied between our eventual tumbling winner and the Oscar selfie until Haus came and broke the tie at the very last minute. What can I say, all Haus' favs like to fall, so it was a given he'd choose this. Some quite floppy answers here, I'm not even sure if Bray's answer has any relevance to the Oscars, I'm guessing no, as he was playing the no-google game. The Oscar streaker should have picked up more votes, as that was a hugely iconic moment before the social-media generation - Sorry Mack. Who knew Spadam was such a big Sheena Easton fan? Her performance of 'For Your Eyes Only' back in 1982 has clearly struck a chord with him. Edited August 17, 20159 yr by Joe.
August 17, 20159 yr Was going to go for Sally Field's "You Really Like Me" speech, but then the wickedly talented Adele Dazeem popped into my head.
August 17, 20159 yr Ooh good call with the Oscar selfie. Although the only one that came to my mind was the J-Law fall and I was thinking it'd walk away with it tbh!
August 17, 20159 yr Author Was going to go for Sally Field's "You Really Like Me" speech, but then the wickedly talented Adele Dazeem popped into my head. Well, that is the best thing that has happened at the Oscars, I knew it wouldn't be the top answer but I couldn't not go for it, I just hoped somebody would pick the same thing. Let's just re-live that moment before we move onto the next question. XevUKl9UMO8
