Posted August 19, 20159 yr So the International TV Mods (and me, for good measure) are going about things a little differently this year. We're going to try and review the majority of the new network TV shows and a handful of higher profile Cable shows too. Below will be a list of all new shows with a link to a thread created for more in depth discussion about them. The reviews will be posted in a separate thread at some point within the first week of the show premiering. ABC Blood and Oil The Catch Dr. Ken The Family The Muppets Of Kings And Prophets Quantico The Real O'Neals Uncle Buck Wicked City CBS Angel From Hell BrainDead Code Black Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders Life In Pieces Limitless Rush Hour Supergirl The CW Containment Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Legends Of Tomorrow Fox Bordertown The Frankenstein Code Grandfathered The Grinder The Guide To Surviving Life Houdini & Doyle Lucifer Minority Report Rosewood Scream Queens NBC Blindspot Chicago Med Coach Crowded Emerald City Game Of Silence Heartbreaker Heroes Reborn Hot & Bothered Little Big Shots The Player Shades of Blue Superstore Truth Be Told You, Me And The End Of The World Cable
August 19, 20159 yr Author All Fox, right? I've got Lucifer and Minority Report on the go but haven't got time to watch them yet. The latter seems like it might be a keeper, but this IS Fox.
August 22, 20159 yr The only two shows I'm even remotely interested in watching that are new are Code Black & Scream Queens.
August 22, 20159 yr Author I'm going to give the following a try (dependent on ratings), but I'm always OPEN to others if the reviews are great Blood and Oil The Catch The Muppets Of Kings And Prophets Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Legends Of Tomorrow Minority Report Scream Queens Emerald City Heroes Reborn
August 22, 20159 yr I've got the Supergirl pilot to watch after my exam. Had it a while, just haven't had a chance to get round to it.
August 22, 20159 yr Author I watched it and, well, to be polite it's heart is in the right place but the whole thing is just such a bad fit for CBS. The people behind it clearly don't really have any love or willingness to commit to the source material (which is what makes the CW DC shows so good) and just want a ride on the gravy train to middling blandness.
August 22, 20159 yr It does strike me as being something that should have been passed off to the CW as it just fits with their current line-up so well.
August 28, 20159 yr Author TBS have renewed American Dad for ANOTHER 2 22 episode seasons, meaning 66 episodes across 2016, 17 and 18. The first time it's ever had a full season and now it has 3 in a row *.* (just a shame the quality took a noticeable dip for the first half of the new TBS season)
September 22, 20159 yr Well Wednesday is packed full of jems; America's Next Top Model, Law and Order, Modern Family, Nashville, South Park and Survivor - can't complain about that!
October 6, 20159 yr Is anyone watching Quantico? It's one of the best debut shows I've watched in the last years.
October 6, 20159 yr Author Nah, I won't be bothering with it as there doesn't seem to be much in the way of originality about it. I've already got my by the numbers procedural fix in Majors Crimes.
October 14, 20159 yr Author It's the wonderful time of the year when full season orders are handed out, so far we have Blindspot, Fresh Off The Boat, Quantico (to 19, with room for 3 more when other new shows flop hard).
October 14, 20159 yr Author CBS have pushed new Jane Lynch vehicle Angel From Hell to February and pulled 2 Broke Girls to November. Basically switching them around.
October 24, 20159 yr Author ABC have basically cancelled Blood & Oil by reducing it to 10 episodes and NBC have done the same with The Player which has been cut back to 9 episodes.
October 29, 20159 yr Author Limitless, The Grinder, Dr. Ken and Life In Pieces all now have full season orders whilst Truth Be Told has also had its episode order cut to 10. Midseason comedies Supermarket and Telenovela have also been trimmed from 13 to 11 episodes each. Also the J Lo vehicle, Shades Of Blue, will be premiering January 14th.
November 2, 20159 yr Dr Ken though? It looks SO pedestrian and targeted for 29 year olds who still live with their mothers and write racist youtube comments just for attention. (So basically just for the sarah michelle type)
November 23, 20159 yr new CW schedule: Thursday: Legends Of Tomorrow / The 100 Friday: The Vampire Diaries / The Originals Julie Plec officially booted lol.
