I kind of expect Justin Bieber to go on a run almost in between how One Direction and 5SOS did. He won't canon ball down the chart after losing the iTunes number one but he also won't stay there long enough to be number one like One Direction performed. Time will tell but I think he'll grab a lot of attention slotting solidly into the top 5 somewhere.

Demi is still climbing nicely, there was a big gap between #7 and #8 which she has now got past. I'm still sure she'll be challenging Rachel by the end of tomorrow.

Really like the song by Justin, hope it can beat Demi to #1 but doubtful as it'll likely to fall quickly.

 

Great to see the DJ remix of "You Know You Like It" being released today, hope it manages to chart well. Kinda weird that the song was originally released 3 years ago though. :lol:

Is it too early to say now that Demi Lovato is top 5 contender only? :P

Biebs will easily be #1 this week.. And with a brilliant track too.

Demi should be top 3 by the end of tonight, and challenging Rachel by the end of tomorrow. We'll have to wait to see how long Justin holds up for, but Demi still should be in top 3 contention at the very least.

I actually love Cool for the Summer but I'd still be here for the drama if she misses it.

I think Rachel is the biggest competition for Demi at this stage, as I'm not convinced Justin's sales will hold up enough to be in contention for #1. Demi's Kworb progress suggests she will get very close to Rachel by the end of tomorrow, but maybe not quite enough to overtake her. Demi also has physical CD singles that have been promoted heavily on Facebook as far as I'm aware, so they could provide a small yet potentially significant advantage for Demi.

Justin only has 2 updates and he has already pushed #2 down to 0.55 so I would think twice about ruling him out. The first day sales are going to be insane, also we don't know where it will stabilise AFTER the fall. The song has quite high mass appeal, and a VMA performance to come

Also the official video is coming this week too.

Tbf, a lot of people do think like that about Justin Bieber. I was listening to R1 on the way to a date today and the girl rolled her eyes when his new single was announced. :lol: We agreed his name is toxic but he has a large legion of young fans who buy and support his music.
