I hadn't realised how highly regarded 'Dark Paradise' is on here :o, considering the competition and the fact it didn't get much of a push as a single. I remember listening to the album for the first time soon after release and that being a huge highlight - probably my favourite chorus melody of the whole thing. Always thought it would've done well if given an earlier single release so it's great to see it appreciated enough to finish top 10.

'Blue Jeans' really crept up on me when it was a single. Didn't think much at first but it's subtly effective and there's some pretty fascinating lyrical content in there.

Very happy with that top six anyway. I'd want 'National Anthem' out next if I had to choose but it's a ridiculously high standard!

FINAL RESULTS DROPPING THIS EVENING. HYPE.

The fact that you claim "Ultraviolence" was underwhelming

Dark Paradise being that high? The only good thing is that awful remix of Summertime is lowISH.

And the flop that didn't make the top 5 is....

Predix:

1. Video Games

2. Born to Die

3. National Anthem

4. Summertime Sadness

5. Ride

6. West Coast

Want:

1. Ride

2. Born to Die

3. National Anthem

4. Summertime Sadness

5. Video Games

6. West Coast

STELLAR top 6, as I rated them all 9 or higher. Ideally 'Ride' would win and it WAS racking up the 11s but also a lot of lower scores.

Pleased to see 'Young and Beautiful' and 'Dark Paradise' doing so well.

Sadly nothing from the Ultraviolence album doesn’t manages a top 5 placing, but 'West Coast' increases the average well into the 8s, boasting an impressive amount of high scores. While Ultraviolence may not have been the album many wanted it to be, it did give us ‘West Coast’, which is easily one of Lana’s most iconic and memorable songs. ‘West Coast’ has silky smooth production with interesting changes in tempo and a hypnotic tone. Though it missed the top 5, I’m quite pleased that it’s managed to get as high as #6.

Ugh. These results are going awfully :(

West Coast is easily in my top 3 Lana tracks, such a fantastic song and the tempo change *.* (though at least it did better than missing the top 10 like it did in the last Lana rate!)

#6 is a satisfying result for 'West Coast' I think. The disjointed structure and abrupt tempo changes take a lot of getting used to and understandably mean it'll never appeal to everyone. I agree with Joe that it's one of her most memorable songs and I don't think I'll ever get bored of returning to it, unlike some of her other singles. A very complex track yet pulled off so gracefully.

 What a song. I was so close to giving this my 11, in fact I wish I had done, in retrospect. ‘Ride’ is a beautiful, emotive and powerful song, which really moves me, despite not relating to any of the the daddy issues/much older men love that Lana sings about. From the opening hums of Lana’s voice, I always feel completely captivated by this wonderfully cinematic track. ‘Ride’ received a lot of high scores, but, ultimately, its shot at the top 3 was cut short by -1s from first class haters WallBra.

:( 5th is ok, but it should be higher. Stunning track!

Sorry Cedric, Lana can’t hear you from the top 5. ‘Summertime Sadness’ is another Lana classic, which, in the video, shows Lana experiencing a lesbian romance with partner Jamie King, and it doesn’t end all too well. Upon hearing Born To Die, long before the years of Cedric, this glistening track was an immediately a stand out on the album for most, and actually, without the added beats, one of Lana’s more anthemic numbers.

This is going... reasonably well so far. I was really hoping for a Ride win, its lyrics are perhaps Lana's most beautiful and it really stirs up some wonderful feelings in me. Huge huge moment of indie-

pop. Shame some people had to be a bit trolly and cost it its rightful win.

Not-Video Games for the win please. :D

Meh for 'Summertime Sadness'.

I don't get how 'Ride' could be deemed -1 worthy in her discography, though the video is the most stunning thing about it.

The song that kicked it all off for Lana starts off an incredible top 3 here, surprisingly still not taking us to a 9 average, though. ‘Video Games’ seemed to come out of nowhere for introducing us all to Lana's enigmatic charm, and was met by huge critical acclaim and chart success around the world. ‘Video Games’ picks up eight 11s and its lowest score is a 2 from J▲hq. That leaves us with just ‘Born to Die’ and ‘National Anthem’ in the top 2. :o

Wow! I expected it to be in contention for the top 2. I don't dislike it, hence the 5, but it's always felt a bit plodding for me and nearly the entirety of Born To Die is far more enjoyable.

So I will be very pleased with either winner, this is very good indeed! I probably prefer Born To Die slightly but National Anthem would also be great.

She still has yet to beat 'Video Games' for me, so beautiful and captivating.

Perfect top 3 though, I think 'National Anthem' will get it. I'd prefer 'Born To Die', but I don't mind.
