The girls missed a trick with the Christmas Mix. Had they released that start of December, performed an iconic Mean Girls-style routine on the X Factor Final (of course intertwined with Sax), and released a different Christmas video for it, it could have propelled it into the top 10. But maybe that seems like an awful lot of work just for a top 10 placing. Either way, it's held up a lot longer than I thought it would proving the UK really are here for LM this year.

They did do a video for it, though it was the same. It was being played constantly on Heart, and Radio 1 were ready to start spinning it a lot (mentioned it themselves) but after the live lounge drop, they didn't play it. The only thing that was missing is maybe some front of iTunes advertisement for it. Maybe use it in "hot songs" or in the 59p Christmas batch. But most of the people hearing the Christmas Mix on Heart were just buying the normal version anyway. They probably didn't even realise it was a Christmas version, as it's quite festive anyway, and the mix is very subtle in its changes.

Heart have updated their playlist today by the way - they've gotten rid of the Christmas Mix but replaced it with the normal version (the normal version has never been playlisted by them before).

praying it will be top 10 this week!! how streams for the song are doing?

There's still no chance of top 10 I'm afraid. That opportunity is long passed. But its longevity has more than made up for it. I think it's probably going to be one of Little Mix's most remembered hits.

I'd never have expected this to do as well as it has - next week it'll be their 5th biggest seller and I can see this going Gold given it's still Top 20, which is a great amount for a girl band single in general, not to mention the fact it was an OA/OS release. I suppose it would have been a Top 10 hit if it was held back a month but we all know well enough, particularly in this streaming age, that not making the Top 10 is not a big issue any more. The way this OA/OS release has been handled is fantastic, from when the video was released to when the promotion was placed. Hopefully it paves the way for more kinda fan-based acts, or at least girl/boy bands, to adopt this release strategy because they've shown that if the campaign is handled well and the song itself is good, then there's no reason for a song to drop down the charts to the point where it's too late to resurrect it.

Can't wait for the 'Secret Love Song' campaign to get under way - already been performing well on iTunes after the Jingle Bell Ball so a, surely inevitable, BRITs performance and another clever video should see it be at least a decent running Top 20 hit.

iTunes UK:

16. Love Me Like You (+2)

68. Love Me Like You (+44)

105. Love Me Like You (+8)

241. Love Me Like You

#36 United Kingdom (+3)

Well at least that's something. I saw the Christmas video and it's basically identical. If only the live lounge drop didn't happen & yes i agree, something like the hot songs category or the 59p would have been amazing for the track. At least we can count on Heart giving it some promo

Chart seems a bit messed up with possibly streaming missing. Little Mix coming for a new peak? Or to re-peak at 13?
Listening to the chart atm, 14 getting played rn, and LMLY hasn't been played yet, so they've at least re-peaked :cheer:
Damn it! 11! Just missing top 10. But amazing to have a new peak :cheer:
#11 is MUCH better, not to mention extending its impressive chart run.

Exactly :cheer: I'm just a little gutted, because after like 15, everytime they played a song and it wasn't LMLY, I was just getting more and more excited thinking: omg! they haven't! Have they?

But it's amazing it's peaked again 14 weeks in

21-30-32-32-28-19-13-13-18-19-22-22-20-11

This has to be the oddest chart run of 2015. Peaking in its 14th week. I'm wondering if this can beat Black Magic's 19 weeks top 40? Maybe 22-29-33-36-38-40 or something as it's bound to fall quite a bit next week.

Maybe i'm just being unrealistic because i'm so happy with the new peak  but i'm quietly confident this can stick top 15 next week
#10 in Sales this week and #31 in Streaming, but #11 combined?? That's insane :o
Brilliant climb, loving what a long-running hit this is!
