September 10, 20159 yr 'The Hills' still climbing *.* Ideally would be great if it overtook 'Can't Feel My Face' now but I'm assuming that's not realistically going to happen. Good to see 'Wildest Dreams' and 'Downtown' already top 20 as well, and 'Hotline Bling' not far outside.
September 10, 20159 yr oops at Little Mix falling D: ** 97 Halsey - New Americana (NEW) :cheeseblock:
September 10, 20159 yr 'The Hills' still climbing *.* Ideally would be great if it overtook 'Can't Feel My Face' now but I'm assuming that's not realistically going to happen. It actually quite possibly could happen. The Hills is ahead on streaming & sales now, and making fast progress on airplay. Shame Trap Queen fell out of the top 10 so close to marking 6 months inside!
September 10, 20159 yr Great that Tori got a good post-VMAs boost with 'Should've Been Us', despite falling airplay. I much prefer it to 'Nobody Love' so I'm glad it's officially her biggest hit. :D I feel like Justin Bieber bookending the top 10 is like an answer to his haters who would've called him irrelevant: 'What Do You Mean Where Are Ü Now'? :') :cheeseblock: Florina nu Aquafina in the cheap stakes (albeit with a year in between).
September 10, 20159 yr 8 new entries for The Weeknd, 10 inside the Hot 100...is that some sort of a record?!! Almost his whole album.
September 13, 20159 yr I'm currently wondering how Good For You benefitted from the VMA's when it's only performance was at Taylors tour
September 13, 20159 yr Author I'm currently wondering how Good For You benefitted from the VMA's when it's only performance was at Taylors tour  Oops, tbh it probably didn't, I just looked at all the nominated songs and indiscriminately gave it an "α" if it was also bulleted on BB. Looking at it again it was nominated for Song of the Summer which probably wouldn't have given it much of anything. (In my defense I posted the thread at 3 in the morning so) Edited September 13, 20159 yr by dhwe

September 16, 20159 yr Author I'm just gonna dump these next 3 posts here before I post the new thread. I've been really flopping these last few weeks, as they say. Chart Highlights Justin Bieber's "What Do You Mean?" debuts at #1 on the Hot 100, becoming only the 23rd song in the chart's history to begin at the top spot and making Justin the youngest solo male to debut on top. The song is Justin's first #1 hit, though he had come close before when "Boyfriend" debuted at #2 in 2012. "WDYM" starts atop Digital Songs after selling 337,000 downloads, and atop On-Demand Songs with 10.1 million streams. It also lifts 28-16 on Pop Songs. With the #1 debut, Justin dethrones his fellow Canadian The Weeknd, who drops 1-2 with "Can't Feel My Face". "CFMF" tops Radio Songs for a fifth week with 150 million audience impressions and jumps 4-2 on Digital Songs with 126,000 downloads sold. It also leads Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for an eighth week."WDYM" and "CFMF" both benefit from the VMAs on the 31st of August, where both songs were performed. Justin performed "WDYM" in a medley with the Skrillex & Diplo hit "Where Are Ü Now", which jumps back up 13-10 this week. The Weeknd is making strides with another track, as "The Hills" rises 4-3. The track earns Airplay and Streaming Gainer honors this week: it surges 15-10 on Radio Songs (79 million audience impressions) and slides 2-3 on Streaming Songs, but it gains 33% in streams to 21 million. In addition, the track climbs back up 11-5 on Digital Songs with 87,000 downloads sold. On the genre charts, "The Hills" rises 22-13 on Pop Songs, takes over atop Rhythmic Songs, and keeps at #2 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. It's the top-streamed R&B track for a third week.Top 20: Taylor Swift's "Wildest Dreams" re-enters at #15 after its video debuted during the VMAs Pre-Show. The track is Taylor's 35th top-20 hit. It debuts on Streaming Songs with 7.8 million streams and re-enters Digital Songs at #7 with 83,000 downloads sold. Below Taylor, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Downtown" blasts 94-18 after the duo performed it on the VMAs. It's their 5th straight top-20 hit and featured rapper Kool Moe Dee's 2nd; meanwhile, it brings Eric Nally, Melle Mel, and Grandmaster Caz into the region for the first time. The song debuts on Digital Songs at #4 with 95,000 downloads sold (this week's Digital Gainer), and at #5 on Hot Rap Songs.Beauty Behind the Madness: In addition to "CFMF", "The Hills", and "Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)" (37-37), eight other songs chart from The Weeknd's #1 album Beauty Behind the Madness following its release. The Weeknd is only the sixth act to chart at least ten songs on the Hot 100 at the same time; Drake and The Beatles hold the record with fourteen. The highest-debuting song from the set is "Prisoner", which starts at #47. The track debuts at #18 on Digital Songs and at #4 on Hot R&B Songs. The other debuting songs from the album are "Tell Your Friends" (#54), "Acquainted" (#60), "Real Life" (#62), "Shameless" (#79), "Losers" (#85), "Dark Times" (#93), and "In the Night" (#100).2015 MTV VMAs: In addition to the five previously mentioned songs, six other songs benefit from the VMAs. Four of them surge thanks to peformances: Demi Lovato's "Cool for the Summer" (17-11), Tori Kelly's "Should've Been Us" (75-51), Nick Jonas' "Levels" (87-70), and Nicki Minaj's "The Night Is Still Young" (re-entering at #98). The other two benefit from exposure as nominees. Big Sean's "One Man Can Change the World" jumps 90-82 after winning the Best Video With a Social Message award; and Kendrick Lamar's "Alright" jumps 89-84 after being nominated for four awards, winning one of them (Best Direction).
