September 20, 20159 yr Love the sound of that. Interesting for her to (seemingly, judging by that small clip) go for a mid-tempo lead single (if it is in fact the lead, obviously). 'Party Favors' is available to download on iTunes & available to listen through Spotify now, btw! :D (Been able to do so since Friday, I believe)
September 22, 20159 yr Author So T confirmed in a radio interview today that 'Player' is indeed the lead single and does feature Chris Brown. No premiere date as of yet, merely 'coming soon' but if the album is out in November, I would think it would be premiering in the next 3-4 weeks at the latest.
September 22, 20159 yr I'm so ready! Really excited about hearing what the King of Pop can do with the Princess of RnB & Chris Brown! *.*
September 26, 20159 yr Author A little bit of confusion over the production credits on this now. Rolling Stone claimed it was Max Martin produced, and although it would appear he did have some hand in the production, the main production credits are being given to Lucas Loules & Alex "Purple" Krolund. Not sure if they co-produced it with Max, as those two appear to be in his production camp, and Tinashe did say she worked with Max on 7 or 8 songs, so I don't get why she would say that if he didn't have some hand in this. Anyway, hopefully it will slay and be a pop smash whatever. She's also been teasing it on social media, meaning rumours are starting she could be releasing it as early as next week. I just hope they handle it correctly.
October 1, 20159 yr Author http://thatgrapejuice.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/tinashe-player-cb-thatgrapejuice-600x572.png Someone over at ATRL has it and is claiming: - it's VERY radio friendly and has pop cross over appeal - Chris is (kinda) rapping on it, and they sing the last chorus together. - the snippet she posted on Facebook is the intro. - the pre-chorus (the part in the original clip with Chris dancing) is kinda misleading. - it has some R&B elements to it. - the "you and I make so much love, boy you got me all ****ed up" part is FLAWLESS.
October 1, 20159 yr Author YAAAASSS it's great. IDKMKBmpwrg This better be a pop hit. It's so catchy and I love the pop explosion of a chorus. So so perfect
October 1, 20159 yr That's excellent - love the verses and the chorus (when it eventually hits) is completely undeniable. She'll surely go mainstream with this, but I can't help thinking the whole thing does compromise what makes her special in the process, albeit not overly so. Undecided on that but it's a definite smash. ('See you later, alligator' though :'))
October 1, 20159 yr This is outstanding! Everything I wanted it to be :D :cheer: there is also a Tinashe only version! 3-htwnPdp18
October 1, 20159 yr Author She'll surely go mainstream with this, but I can't help thinking the whole thing does compromise what makes her special in the process, albeit not overly so. Undecided on that but it's a definite smash. People said the same about '2 On' when it first premiered though, to be fair. That was far more commercial than any of her mixtape stuff. I still have faith she'll do a good bit of Alt-R&B on the album still, after all she is working with many of the same producers as her debut, including Dev Hynes who produced 'Bet'. I just think 'Joyride' is going to be far more genre-reaching, which I am quite excited for.
October 1, 20159 yr ew, why is every man and his dog collaborating with Chris Brown? Because he has a great voice and makes hot music. Sounds alright on first listen, though I think 2 On is a stronger song. The average radio listener is gonna confuse this with Body On Me though!
October 1, 20159 yr Because he has a great voice and makes hot music. I think his voice is whiny, and he sounds autotuned/vocodered on so much stuff he's involved in (though is alright on this, and I do like some stuff he's been involved in). This is great! It sounds like the one to hopefully give her a deserved big breakthrough. It can't come close to '2 On' or 'All Hands On Deck' though, but that's a big ask.
October 1, 20159 yr ew, why is every man and his dog collaborating with Chris Brown? I know, it's unbelivable. He's already featured on 11 songs this year, and his next feature will be his 60th. He'll collaborate with anyone who will have him.
