10 | 7.47 | Shape Of My Heart

HS: 11 (Fgiboy2511, Insomnio) 9.5 (Mike Sugafan, Riser)

LS: 1 (gavindeejay) 4 (mr aly)

Written by Metalfistin fave Lisa Miskovsky no less, she has her own version called Another Shape Of My Heart, go listen.

Lead single from Black & Blue, this is a fab little tune. Repeat low scorer gavindeejay struck again, quite why he voted when he gave so many low scores is a mystery

to me, but oh well. The song was a top 5 hit over here and top 10 in the US.

09 | 7.63 | Show Me The Meaning Of Being Loneyl

HS: 11 (Totto, Mike Sugafan) 10 (Insomnio, Mango, Acidburn, American Oxygen)

LS: -1 (Fgiboy2511) 2 (Liam, mr aly)

Another ballad, but not as good as the one before it tbh.

3rd single from Millenium and another slayage of a single, top 10 in the US and top 3 over here in the UK. Not a bad song by any means, but it's just a bit too moody and plain.

Shape of My Heart is far from terrible, it's one of their very best and most listenable singles.

Aly I love you but your general BSB opinions make we wanna take a chainsaw to your dick. :(
Love both of those, I admit at the time I didn't quite warm to "Shape Of My Heart" but quickly grew to love it and "Show Me The Meaning" is just brilliant.

08 | 7.76 | All I Have To Give

HS: 10 (Acidburn, American Oxygen, totto) 9.5 (Mango)

LS: 5 (Regina, Alex!) 6 (gavindeejay, fgiboy2511, vibe)

I honestly don't know how this happened, the only reasonable thought is that this is more well known so got more scores. Not a bad song, but not a great one either, it's actually

kinda dull. Oh well. Last single from Backstreet's Back and a top 2 hit in the UK, top 5 in the US too, so clearly I am missing something here.

Quite surprised to see "All I Have To Give" this high, still it's a really decent song, has that 90's pop feel to it, although aged quite a bit now though.

07 | 7.86 | Drowning

HS: 11 (Regina) 10 (Fgiboy2511, Sarah)

LS: 4.5 (Alex!) 5 (gavindeejay)

The best song on this list tbh.

Only single from their greatest hits, this had mixed chart success, missing the top 20 in the US but getting to #4 over here. Another slow ballady type, but unlike

much of the other ones here, it has a bit more oomph to it. This was their last single before taking a short break from recording.

06 | 7.94 | Incomplete

HS: 11 (Riser, Sarah) 10 (Cody Slayberry, Totto)

LS: 4 (Fgiboy2511) 5 (Alex!)

And now to the first single they released after said break.

A different sound to their music, more rockier, which I loved. Never Gone is probably their best album, but then I change my mind all the time. A pretty big hit for them, top 20 in the US, top 10 here and their first Aussie #1. It's also the newest track in the top 10.

I was never overly fond of 'Incomplete', but I do like 'Drowning'.

Can we go drown Michael then?

"Incomplete" I liked it at the time, thought it was a pretty strong comeback for them, but not something I go back to anymore. I dunno it just doesn't have that same magic their earlier releases had and they just weren't as good after this as they were in their heyday.

"Drowning", Yeah I like this, it's pretty decent solid track from them and serves as a good end to the first chapter of their careers.

I think Incomplete was when they really set themselves apart from other boybands tbh, you don't see many attempt the pop-rock sound or use live instruments in the

studio. Granted, they went back to more poppier stuff but still.

"Shape of my Heart" should be in the Top 10. One of their best performances. "Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely" has meaningful lyrics and dramatic music. How could it be so low?? "All I have to give" is a little bit forgettable. "Drowning" is quite good and "Incomplete" is overrated here.

05 | 8.0 | Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)

HS: 10 (Acidburn, American Oxygen, Totto) 9.5 (Insomnio, Mango, Riser)

LS: 3 (Liam) 5.5 (Regina, Alex!)

This is another shocker for me, never thought it'd be top 5. Anyway, it's nice enough.

4th single from their debut, it hit #2 both here and in America. Pretty good going tbh. The video is....well, interesting. If you like half naked men with rock hard bodies

soaking wet then you'll love it, but then rememebr this was the mid 90's so the moves and hair were laughable. I never know whether to feel amused or turned on.

04 | 9.10 | As Long As You Love Me

HS: 11 (Acidburn, Alex!, Mango, Jonjo) 10 (mr aly, Totto, Fgiboy2511, Insomnio, Sarah)

LS: 6.5 (NickF1) 7 (Regina, gavindeejay, Mike Sugafan)

No Justin Bieber mentions here or imma kill y'all.

You know it's a good song when Liam likes it, he gave it a 9, slay. Another single from the debut era, but then, there were 3 versions of the album. Another top 5 in the UK and US.

Another pretty 90's video too. No wet bodies though.

"Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)" has nice rhythm. "As Long As You Love Me" is very catchy. Justin Bieber who? If YouTube existed in 90s, Backstreet Boys would have huge success too. On the other hand, Justin Bieber would have similar success with Aaron Carter..

03 | 9.39 | Larger Than Life

HS: 11 (mr aly ) 10 (gavindeejay, acidburn, american oxygen, Totto, Mango, Jonjo, Riser, Sarah, Mike Sugafan)

LS: 7 (vibe, NickF1) 8 (Liam)

The second single from the monster seller that is Millenium, no wonder this song is popular. Two of the 3 songs left come from this album.

Another hit in the UK, top 5, but only 25 in the US. A great uptempo stormer of a track. Big budget video, with a hint of the Stars Wars films to it. Slay.
