Oh I'd love a Polish win. It would be quite Austria-esque, loads of poor results and sitting out for a bit before winning not long after the return..

I won't get my hopes up given it has to be selected first (I SEE YOU DENMARK) but it's very good and sounds very current / like something that could be a chart hit! Don't throw away this top 10!!

werewolfPL, do you know if Michał Szpak is considered a contender? His name keeps popping up on fan forums and I hope the fact there is hardly any male acts won't see him benefit while all the females split the vote1

Yes, he seems to be just after Edyta and Margaret, but I really doubt it will happen for him. He is too controversial for polish taste, plus he has never really had any real hit. Also, his album has flopped.

Official lyric video for Cool Me Down is here, Margaret's team are very prepared so far!

THIS HAS TO WIN

It's basically Rihanna x Major Lazer if RiRi re-released Anti with a uber commercial lead single. It's exactly the sort of contender a country like Poland, and the contest in general, needs.

Look at the description on that YouTube video, another one of the songwriters is only Linnea Deb of 'Heroes' fame! :o A Eurovision dream team seems to be behind this entry.

i don't get this song at all

i guess follow my heart and my slowanie will still remain my favourite polish entries for at least one more year

Love that! And with some great staging I could see it in the top 10.

Her vocals are shaky in the verses but possibly just acceptable, and then the backing track saves her for the chorus. She's lucky that there is no jury voting in the national final!

Hopefully that was just one shaky performance - it's such a monster of a song!
Edyta has won the OGAE Poland poll, with Margaret a few points behind in second place. For Margaret to win the national final, the poll will have to be wrong for the first time since 2007. It's not going to happen is it! :(
On the positive side Margaret is already charting in the official singles and airplay charts and is top 100 on Spotify!

Voting
There will just be a single round of voting which will be decided by 100% televoting.

Potential Winners?
At the time of writing, according to Betfair the strong favourite for victory is Margaret with odds of 1/5. However, close behind on odds of 3/1 is Edyta Górniak who remains the most successful Polish Eurovision representative in history and still maintains a very high profile in Poland. Also in with a chance is third favourite Michał Szpak who has odds of 8/1, but a quote I've read said that "he's never lost a talent show" so we can't rule him out. Fourth favourite is Natalia Szroeder on odds of 10/1, and the other five acts are significantly further behind so we should expect one of these four to take victory. That said, NAPOLI's team (currently 7th favourite at 50/1) admitted to rigging the Belarus national final they competed in... who knows they could do the same again!

Guest Performances
During the show, there will be a guest performance by 2001 Polish representative Piasek.

Running order has been announced and has been edited in above. No surprise that Edyta is in the final slot considering her status, but glad to see Margaret on next to last so she isn't disadvantaged! :cheer:
Cmon Cool Me Down, how sad is that Polands fail of an entry is better than any entry we've done in recent years
