October 9, 201510 yr good to see Natalie La Rose removing her one-hit wonder status with this, although it's not nearly as good as 'Somebody' was. Fetty Wap getting a third chart hit too *.
October 9, 201510 yr 'Lay It All On Me' actually sounded a lot better on second listen, too quick to judge it last week. This new Natalie La Rose song remains very average though. Disappointing after 'Somebody', even Sir Wap can't really save it. Unrelated: iPlayer is shit.
October 9, 201510 yr Around The World :puke: Even tacking on the in-demand Sir Fetty Wap couldn't save this from its impending FLOPPAGÉ~~
October 9, 201510 yr So they've basicaly switched to watered down pop instead  Even so, at least it's not the same old stale stuff.
October 9, 201510 yr Meh, this isn't sounding much better than Somebody and that was crap. Flush. Edited October 9, 201510 yr by Chez Wombat

The duo is composed of Ben Haggerty, a rapper who goes by the name of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, a record producer, DJ, and professional photographer, who met the former at a photo shoot and they have significantly collaborated ever since. In 2009, they released their first collaborative effort, an EP titled VS. EP. They have since followed up with VS. Redux (2010) and the Grammy Award-winning album The Heist (2012). Macklemore and Lewis' single "Thrift Shop" reached at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 2013. The single was premiered on commercial radio by radio personality Jay Postal on September 2, 2012, and was soon dubbed the first song since 1994 to top the Hot 100 chart without the support of a major record label by Billboard, although Macklemore, in a slightly unusual recording contract, pays a nominal percentage of sales to use Warner Bros. Records’ radio promotion department to push his singles. Their second single, "Can't Hold Us" also peaked at number one of the Hot 100 Chart, making Macklemore and Lewis the first duo in the chart's history to have their first two singles both reach the peak position. Macklemore and Lewis released their debut studio album The Heist on October 9, 2012, which charted at number 2 on the US Billboard 200. The pair was nominated for seven Grammy awards at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, winning four awards, including Best New Artist, Best Rap Album (The Heist), Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance ("Thrift Shop"). Thrift Shop has gained approximately 755,776,153 YouTube views as of August 29, 2015. - Wikipedia Chart history - Top 100 (Year peak title): Macklemore & Ryan Lewis 2013 01 Thrift Shop (Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Feat. October 9, 201510 yr That must mean The Vamps have crashed in at #12. :o Actually not too bad a result, all things considered I think. It basically fluked the Monday midweek #1, the entire top 5 was very close! Plus it's done way better than the likes of Little Mix and Rita Ora did when releasing OA/OS. I'll take #12 even if I wanted and hoped for higher.

It's a shame that after 5 consecutive singles and that 'Oh Cecilia' thing made it, this doesn't. :( I always imagined they should be contending for their first #1 with the lead single from their second album, they ballsed it up SO bad. It's more than good enough too.

October 9, 201510 yr That's from their last album, 3 years ago. Why would they? Somehow I thought it was from 2014. But it wouldn't be the first time that a older minor hit would be re-released following the success of an act's bigger hit. Edited October 9, 201510 yr by N-S
October 9, 201510 yr Happy Around The World made the top 15 in the end, fantastic track from Natalia and a great song  Also loving downtown as well  Wake Up may become my favourite Vamps single soon, reminds me so much of Echo by Girls Can't Catch which I adore

It's disappointing for sure, I think this just goes to show that OA/OS doesn't work for particular artists  If everything was still using the conventional held-back methods, I think this would've ended up as a top 5 hit.
