General underdogs of the contest Tartford now receive points from us for the very first time thanks to this brilliance. I discovered 'Lost It To Trying' by Son Lux a few weeks ago and really wanted to send it... until finding out Skall had done just that in 2013! It then filled me with much curiosity to see the very same group turn up in the latest edition. I was thrilled that this is just as good as 'Lost It To Trying', a huge standout in the final with some really cool production in particular. +15 Quintessa // Avec Sans - Resonate Well where did THIS come from! Another country to add to the 'voted for' list this month now (though this wouldn't be the case had 'Flying (Solarstone Pure Mix)' qualified </3) as this has been a favourite right from that initial first listen. This is indeed worthy of all the hype as it's an absolutely gorgeous song with an incredibly gripping and impactful chorus. This needs to smash and more, what a highlight! +18 Persephonia // DANCE WITH THE DEAD - Waves They've done it again, the musical wavelength between the Jadakissnians and Persephonians is just far too in sync. Persephonia become the first country that we have awarded an 18 to now on more than one occasion following 'Habib Galbi' in our debut contest. While people have commented that this would fare better with additional vocals, for us it's stellar just the way it is. While we may have been pretty unseasonal with our entry this month, Persephonia get it spot on unleashing this spooky artist on us just in time for Halloween.
