Posted October 26, 20159 yr How I compile my charts: With a few exceptions, I don't go out of my way to seek out new songs - I usually wait until I hear them on the radio. I mainly listen to Radio 1 and for this reason, most (though not all) songs in my chart are those which are played on Radio 1. I don't usually add a song to my chart until it's started gaining some airplay. Songs generally tend to climb gradually as they grow on me, peak and then fall fast, so the chart looks similar to an 80s/90s singles chart. October 30, 20159 yr Hi Mango I do like Hello but it's so Adele by the numbers, I'm enjoying it for the time being but I can see it getting very annoying when it's stopping all these great tracks from #1 in ten weeks time :drama: I like it and can see why it is so popular it annoys me how overrated she is, for me she doesn't make anything special. Perfect is a little disappointing, following Drag Me Down and the equally excellent last era, this isn't that great, I do like it though and the video is sweet too. Excited to see who wins the chart battle out of them and Justin now in both the US and the UK. Wild is nice, I like the little children choir sounding thing going on, shame his music career isn't massively taking off because it's all very nice stuff, hope his album doesn't get lost in December :/ Flo Rida delivering again with a very catchy track, don't think I've ever not liked one of his tracks, they're so catchy!!! Shame this one hasn't really taken off at all though. In2 is a tune, glad it's doing so well on pre-orders so far, I keep getting the chorus stuck in my head, hoping for a top 5 peak now :D True Friends is nice in places and has some strong parts but it also feels a bit clunky and some of the lyrics are a bit cringey, especially 'true friends stab you in the front', it made me wince when I was singing it in the car with my Dad in there because it just sounds childish :/ Much preferred the excellent Drown and Throne :wub: Fab chart!

October 31, 20159 yr Author Hi Mango I do like Hello but it's so Adele by the numbers, I'm enjoying it for the time being but I can see it getting very annoying when it's stopping all these great tracks from #1 in ten weeks time :drama: I like it and can see why it is so popular it annoys me how overrated she is, for me she doesn't make anything special. Perfect is a little disappointing, following Drag Me Down and the equally excellent last era, this isn't that great, I do like it though and the video is sweet too. Excited to see who wins the chart battle out of them and Justin now in both the US and the UK. Wild is nice, I like the little children choir sounding thing going on, shame his music career isn't massively taking off because it's all very nice stuff, hope his album doesn't get lost in December :/ Flo Rida delivering again with a very catchy track, don't think I've ever not liked one of his tracks, they're so catchy!!! Shame this one hasn't really taken off at all though. In2 is a tune, glad it's doing so well on pre-orders so far, I keep getting the chorus stuck in my head, hoping for a top 5 peak now :D True Friends is nice in places and has some strong parts but it also feels a bit clunky and some of the lyrics are a bit cringey, especially 'true friends stab you in the front', it made me wince when I was singing it in the car with my Dad in there because it just sounds childish :/ Much preferred the excellent Drown and Throne :wub: Fab chart! Hi Josh :) I know what you mean but Adele by the numbers is no bad thing. I just think it's a really stunning song, vocally flawless and very beautiful. I do find some of her songs over-rated though (RITD for example) so yeah I see where you're coming from, and yeah she will probably hog the top spot for weeks which I guess isn't ideal. Agreed that Perfect is pretty disappointing compared to Drag Me Down, personally I think it's a really boring video too. Definitely sits in the bottom quarter of 1D singles for me. The 1D/Justin chart battle should be pretty exciting actually, both sides of the pond! I think they'll just edge it though. Oh is Troye's album out in December? I fear it will get a bit lost in the Christmas rush actually, he really should have just waited until Jan. Flo Rida's a bit hit and miss for me but I do like My House. Very catchy indeed! In2 is good but I'm still not blown away by it, though I think there's still plenty of time for it to grow, and I've got a feeling that one of these days it will just hit me :) I know exactly what you mean about the lyrics to 'True Friends'... but I always thought the lyric was 'true friends stab you in the throat' (as opposed to front) :lol: but yeah, Drown and Throne were both better!
