I'm in the minority, but I really like Derulo and the girls voices together.

Part 2 is lovely but I do agree that it would not have been as successful on it's own.

Heart are literally spamming this now, it had more plays in the past week on there than ever before. So bizarre that they chose to not play it around the weeks when it was peaking, if they'd given it this support the week when it hit #6, it might have been top 5!

Is it bizarre though? REALLY? We're talking about Heart here

It's not that bizarre but the fact that they started playing it really early quite a lot (before even R1), then suddenly stopped about 2 weeks before and after it's impact week and then started playing it again is a bit weird to me!

That's true, they're just a bloody weird station. I keep wanting this to push itself up to the sort of level it could possibly scrape a Best British Single nomination at the BRITS next year. But I think it'll be off. The lowest selling nominee last year was Olly & Demi's 'Up' which sold about 574k which this won't reach presumably. It should hopefully claw its way to 500k by the end of the year though, perhaps.

It's already on 500k! (Unless you mean to not include the 25k from 2015), I think it might make it to around 580k by the end of the year tbh (550kish for 2016) and could get a nom. I think it's currently the 4th highest selling UK single of the year.

Yeah, I mean this year, was looking at Vidcapper's YTD. And yes, currently the 4th biggest behind 'Fast Car', 'Pillowtalk' and 'All My Friends', which is pretty decent going into the 6th month of the year.
Are there any big, British comebacks due this year? I really want SLS to get a nom tbh. Coz hopefully that'll lead to another performance, but this time of this song to show their voices off to a more varied audience. Although, if it's true that they're getting an album out towards the end of the year, then maybe the lead single from that will get the nomination?
This had the second highest sales for a #6 of the year and was quite unlucky. There were 11 weeks in the year where the sales would have put them in the top 5.

I believe around September/October Ed Sheeran will be releasing new material after his self imposed exile

Big hit in the Philippines. Still #2 on itunes their.Been in the top 10 on Phillipines itunes the last 3 weeks.
Wouldn't be surprised if it went Number 1 after their show their today (yesterday their time)
Amazing that they can have a Platinum single that isn't even a single
I seem to remember it was already doing pretty well over there so maybe the show in Manila was the little boost it needed. Great to see them get Number 1 on both iTunes and Spotify, a shame that will almost certainly never happen in the UK

??

SLS was a single?

I highly doubt Aussie radio would randomly start spinning SLS if it wasnt serviced to them
It was made a single after their Graham Norton performance gave the song a huge boost. It's top 20 in Airplay
SLS has now been certified Platinum in New Zealand, the girls' first platinum certification over there
