Someday was the third single Mariah released, from her self-titled debut album. The uptempo track was released in November 1990 and became her third consecutive #1 on the Hot 100. It fared less well in the UK, charting at #38, however. It leaves Vision of Love as the only single from the debut album in the running!

Released as a double a-side with Shake It Off in some territories, Get Your Number becomes the fourth highest single from The Emancipation of Mimi in the survivor. It peaked at #9 in the UK although it did not chart in the US as Shake it Off was serviced to radio on its own. The track, which features Jermaine Dupri, includes a sample of Just an Illusion, by British band Imagination, and this led to mixed reviews from critics.
