Sleighlie is coming.

Hello and Sorry are both very good songs but I think it would be a good outcome to see both have an oppurtunity to take the crown. Shame Bieber can't be doing the double as the album's singles so far have actually been great and One Direction haven't proven to be as good for me with the last few singles (never thought I'd say this until a few months ago! :heehee: )

Anyone know how Get Weird has faired?

No word, but I can imagine it being around 9/10 at the moment, but will most probably climb over the course of the week, with Ben and Kylie falling beneath them.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised if Ellie fell from the top 10.

Where is Ben Haenow?

I think that'd be a huge embarrassment for him if he missed the top 10, I think he might.

Would it really be embarrassing? I mean yeah he won X factor but his record label evidently have zero interest in him and want rid of him asap. He is basically in a no win situation.

Let's say 1D have sold 60k, which is a bit more than Up All Night sold but less than FOUR's 75k (it could be on similar sales). 1D winning by a 50% with that sale would put Bieber on 40k, which is already more than all his other albums sold in their first week. If 1D are on another 75k, that puts Bieber on 50k.

Great sales and outcome for both anyway. Justin was never going to be #1, but it will be on the streaming chart and digital chart.

I'd imagine that Elvis is at 3, followed by ELO and Kylie. Ed is probably up to 6 and Little Mix, who I think will be selling more than Ben, will probably be at 7 with him at 8 and falling as the week goes on.

Great result for Miss Kyles. Happy with that.

I'm very pleased about Kylie. Hopefully she will stay top 10 by end of the week.

I am hoping the same,Kylie is my main interest this week, although i would love Ben Haenow to get top 10 at the least. I was on a cd spending splurge today, bought Kylie for myself, One Direction for my daughter and Ben Haenow for my partner as she is a huge fan. All 3 of us like Ben Haenow so we put it on and its a good album, sadly syco seem to have no interest in him at all and like Matt Cardle they will drop him

I think Rod Stewart will still be top 5, there was 2 programmes last night on TV featuring him back to back.

Very sad to see how they are treating Ben and I agree the album on first listen is very good. I think he will manage Top ten. It would be a real shame if he didn't.

Kylie not got much promo coming up this week, but packed in December...... so it will be interesting to see if she can keep a top 10 and the sales margins as she is slipping now on ITunes, still a bit early for Christmas-factor
It's the general public that have no interest in Ben. Voting for someone on a talent show in comparison to supporting their music and buying their albums outside of said show is a totally different discipline; we've known this for a while and most people also knew last year when Ben was crowned winner that he wouldn't have much success. Nothing to do with Syco.

There is always luck involved with any artist as to whether they make it or not but you only have to look at the release strategy for his single to see they don't care. I don't think there's much doubt Ben would have entered the Top 10 if his single had been released the week of his performance . Instead there was no promo for two weeks before it and he performed at about 20 past 10 on the first show, even I got bored waiting for him I'm sure some people had already switched off, yet he managed to sell 40k downloads in those first two weeks before that performance without much help at all. Those sales would have been more condensed with a better strategy & he would have made the Top Ten quite easily. Because of this mess up the flop tag started week 1 when he entered the charts at #21. Ben is marketable, they just can't be bothered or are inept. Getting Kelly on board made it look like they tried but everything since says otherwise.

Ben is top 5 in albums according to Cowell on X Factor. Will be slightly awkward now if/when it drops.....

Lets hope he can do it. It jumped 20-11 on itunes after the ad for it appeared during XF. A little promo goes a long way..

Sorry for being naive, but if I "complete my album" after buying one song on iTunes, does that count as an album sale? Even if the song has already been registered as a single sale?

Yes.

Ben Haenow was never going to be a successful singer. Let's face it - there's just something missing and he falls into the same category of Steve Brookstein and Joe McElderry - individuals who won the show but the runners up managed more successful music careers. Even if his album is in the top 10, I suspect it will drop quickly and he won't be heard of again.

Overall everytime the runner-up or below.. gets more fame and sucess than winner. Except 2011.
