If you think *Bieber is untalented then you need to take a wider look at his music. Don't be so childish about it. You're welcome to dislike him but to say he's untalented is quite ridiculous.

seconded 100%. i hate negative stigmas people seem to have built up against certain artists such as justin, 1D, lady gaga for example, saying that they're 'not invested' or 'untalented' just because of a certain image they have or certain theatrics they employ in their music.

Thank you! It's like the only song of his I've properly loved, so annoying.

It's okay! Yeah it's easily one of his best for me too. I suppose he'll easily bounce back from a flop, but potentially with something less deserving.

So 1D not really 'pissing' on Bieber as MintRoyale claims

With a 64k/50k sale at the moment, 1D are ahead by just under 30%. They must've had much more impressive pre-orders they Beiber to begin with a 50% difference. When streaming and the missing digital sale is added, Purpose will be selling more

Edit: on a daily basis, I mean.

!!!!!!!!!!

Good to see Bieber is on track to get the #1 this week though! :D

He's at 7, Kylie is actually at 6.

Considering who's above him, #7 isn't so bad but the sales won't look good up against the previous winners' debut albums. Here are the winners' debut album opening week sales:

375,872 - Leona Lewis: Spirit (#1)

* cumulative (Mar 15): 3,130,000

201,266 - Shayne Ward: Shayne Ward (#1)

* cumulative (w/e 30/3/14): 537,573

132,065 - Alexandra Burke: Overcome (#1)

* cumulative (w/e 30/3/14): 818,628

72,644 - Sam Bailey: The Power of Love (#1)

* cumulative (w/e 21/2/15): 162,000

70,896 - Matt Cardle: Letters (#2)

* cumulative (w/e 30/3/14): 276,845

63,995 - James Arthur: James Arthur (#2)

* cumulative (w/e 30/3/14): 255,558

53,314 - Little Mix: DNA (#3)

* cumulative (w/e 30/3/14): 344,969

50,989 - Steve Brookstein: Heart & Soul (#1)

* cumulative (w/e 30/3/14): 105,199

39,405 - Joe McElderry: Wide Awake (#3)

* cumulative (w/e 30/3/14): 104,445

37,197 - Leon Jackson: Right Now (#4)

* cumulative (w/e 30/3/14): 135,892

Unless it picks up, Ben Haenow will have to settle for the bottom of that list. I hope it can pick up though.

Please watch what you say, this is meant to be a family forum and that first sentence is quite inappropriate!

I'm not sure what missing digital sales you're mentioning, nothing digital is listed on the missing data list :P (depending on what Amazon HD is but that's barely made any effect in the past). HMV sales will benefit 1D so the gap is probably around the same with Justin's streaming added (let's remember 1D are doing very well on streams too though).

Such a shame since Ben's album is the best out of all of them, except for Matt and Shayne's.

Indeed so! Edited :D

That's a shame, although the charts are very different now with streaming etc.

wow shayne's debut can't have had much longevity to have opened with such a huge figure and then to only just have doubled that in total :o

leona slaying <333 in all fairness, ben most certainly does not deserve to be bottom of that list but then i guess the sales climate is hardly at its best atm so he might just have to settle for a slow burner (that's providing he can get more than a semi-mediocre hit out of it).

It did reasonable enough in terms of its chart run, but as you can see there are worse offenders on that list for not selling a lot more than their opening weeks.

Ben will end up with the lowest peak for a winner's debut album too so it's not the fault of the low sales climate either. Seems he's just not catching the public's imagination.

Operation: Shed Clothes needs to come into play tbh.

oh no, obviously it's not solely down to the sales climate but i was just thinking, say if this album were released in 2011's fourth quarter, he may have garnered a higher opening tally then perhaps joe or leon.

My god, 100 sales between Adele and Justin. This is going to be an interesting week. The anticipation for Adele's new album might push Hello to #1 by Friday.

Ah I see, that's a fair point for sure!

Unlikely, two days of Spotify data is missing and Justin is considerably further ahead there.

So Justin is about 3K ahead... And today also another 1.5K lead from Spotify... :| So it's him this week, OK I LOVE Sorry... see you Hello next week at the top!
Amazing to see Format:B as high as #11 even with the lack of streaming data, hopefully this means it can remain in the top 40 at the weekend :cheer:
