just working my way through semi 1 flops to see what shoulda qualified - not heard the qualifiers yet but Lonelady and Ben Hazelwood were robbed, and I also liked SculKid, Lars M and Stranger Cat, didn't mind the others either, bar a special award for DJ Chuckie for a "what the ..." moment, well done Tim for not only going out on a limb, but hovering in mid-air Wile E Coyote style before dropping like a brick :cheer:

But, in all seriousness, what is screechy about Eir? She's got a pretty normal female rock-ish voice, she's singing in Japanese but it's not all that different a voice from Kelly Clarkson or Hayley Williams or the like, and the only thing I could say about it is that she injects a good bit of emotion into her singing, which if anything is a GOOD thing. Don't understand that one, Michael.

That type of vocal technique is pretty common in anime openings though

Eh, I don't mind, I'd always prefer to send something that people remember after they'd heard it rather than forgetting it 5 minutes later, it just surprised me because I really like her voice and the little inflections it makes (hence why I like anime openings just as much as the anime themselves most of the time), I'd listen to loads of that and in fact I listened carefully through her other songs before sending Ignite just because I like the vocal style.
