3. Carly Rae Jepsen - Emotion

Oh my goodness gracious me, where do I start with this absolute pop masterpiece of an album!? 'Emotion' is the third studio album from Canadian singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen and was indeed her first number 1 album on my chart. Lets get right into things with the lead single 'I Really Like You'! A very fun, quirky pop song which was perfect for introducing Carly back into our lives with new music. However it was the follow up single 'Run Away With Me' that really sold the album to me! What an incredible track, it is incredible. I simply cannot praise it enough. Other highlights from the album include 'Your Type', 'Emotion' and 'Warm Blood'. 10/10, simply fantastic!

2. Meghan Trainor - Title

Another incredible debut album from 'bass' love Meghan Trainor. The only way I can describe this album to those of you who haven't heard it is modern do-wop. What an absolute stomper of an album. I must admit, I wasn't very keen on 'All About That Bass' and 'Lips Are Movin'' was a tad dull, but my god, 'Dear Future Husband' is what sold the album to me when listening to the previews. The whole vibe to the album is very modern and very feel good. I actually struggle to find faults with it other that the 2 lead singles. 'Close Your Eyes' is in another league in terms of the album tracks and '3am' is such a lovely little song! Massive congratulations to Meghan as this years runner up!

1. Elina Born - Elina Born

So this is it, my number 1 album of 2015 comes from Estonian singer Elina Born! Best known for her Eurovision 2015 entry 'Goodbye To Yesterday' (which appears on the album) and of course her Hushkanukia bjsc flop. :kink: I really cannot praise this album enough, it is simply pop gold. As soon as you hear the zipper at the start of 'Untraceable' you know you will be in for one heck of a ride with this album! I will try not to babble on too much! Let's start with my favourite song, of course it is 'Enough'. One of the most underrated songs on the album, 'Enough' is simply stunning. The lyrics and Elina's vocals really make my heart melt and I could even go on to say it is in my top 10 songs of all time! 'Miss Calculation' is another gem on the album, it's quirky lyrics and catchy chorus act as an incredible way to show the more bubblegum pop side to Elina. 'Burned By The Sun' is one of the more slower songs on the album which is equally as good as the utterly beautiful closing song of the album, 'Weekend Wars'. I highly recommend you all listen to this outstanding album if you have the time, you won't regret it

Elina  I would love to listen to ha album

Meghan Only liked All About That Bass and Lips are Moving was okay I guess

Hi Dobbo

Oh no, She's Kinda Hot was horrible, I quite liked a few songs from their debut album but this was just tuneless and had odd talky type verses/chorus, just sounded so weird - really bad song imo :/ Hey Everybody was way better but nobody liked that on here

The Fix is a jam, great used of sample, I like them in urban songs like Don't Tell 'Em and it worked very well here too, thought it was going to be a bigger hit here actually :(

Fab stuff!

 I think you have the wrong thread :kink:

 I even had a write-up for you Cameron, must have not pasted it right :( Sorry !

Anyway I wrote something along these lines:

Enjoyed Piece by Piece but not as good as the 10/10 Breakaway album. Not keen on Heartbeat Song though, it was a bit annoying and then it was hiding her beautiful voice too :( Hope she keeps on releasing singles from this though because there's a lot of pop goodness on here.

Love Get Weird, much like you I feel like I'm a converted fan, they've had a perfect era so far so glad to see that replicated in sales for them - they deserve all the recognition they've been getting because the whole album is just pop jams.
