Rachel is so unlucky to miss out on the top 5 considering those sales would have sent this beautiful ballad to an easy top 3 EOY finish last year. I have loved Fight Song nearly the entire year since Lee introduced it on Plug DJ and to see it smash and go to number #1 was shocking and incredible to see! Fight Song is such an inspirational song with beautiful lyrics and the ballad just soars and soars higher as it goes on! The song spent 5 weeks high in the chart on just streaming before spending 2 weeks at #1 on proper release. The song also spent 2 weeks at #2 behind Swift and spent 11 weeks top 10 and 23 weeks top 40 so far! I adore Fight Song and it really is just fantastic and amazing  6. 25- Adele 1,354,490 Chart Run: 1-1-2-1-1-.... Highlights: Hello, Practically the whole album No album cover I have I think. Someone could find one on forum that'd be great as I'm sure there is one  Adele returned *.* And 25 is an incredible album. Yeah there isn't many risks on the album but the whole album is so solid and great, and of course Adele's incredible vocals and fantastic lyrics enhance the album to make it even more amazing. The album of course has been doing gangbusters worldwide and Hello is such an incredible lead single and I literally love very song from the album  The album has topped my chart for 4 weeks and has spent 1 week at 2 as Adele sales a massive 1.354M in only 5 weeks!
December 31, 20159 yr Author 5. I was excited and hyped for Love Me Like You when I heard that it was meant to sound similar to Stooshe's Black Heart which is of course the best girlband song of all time and wow Love Me Like You was absolutely beyond incredible! The girls harmonies, the bubblegummish pop, the girls vocals (especially Jade + Perrie) and the L.O.V.E part which is possibly the best of any song this year make this into an incredible anthem and something that is perfect, just like Haribo Starmix  The song though has also had a crazy chart-run, even crazier than the likes of Shake It Off :o The track has spent 5 non-consecutive weeks at #1 (2 of them in the last 2 weeks including the Christmas #1!) and every one of its other 8 weeks at #2. Little Mix should secure a 6th week at #1 this week though they face tough competition from Taylor Swift and Birdy next week with their new video and single releases :o Anyway I'm so happy Love Me Like You is in my top 5 as it really is perfect and the Christmas mix is also amazing  5. Honeymoon- Lana Del Rey 1,427,030 Chart Run: 1-1-1-2-2-3-3-7-9-9-10-9-9-6-.... Highlights: Freak, High By The Beach, 24, Art Deco, Terrence Loves You, Music To Watch Boys To, Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood http://i759.photobucket.com/albums/xx240/MarthaJonesFan/Cover%20Sleeves/Lana%20Del%20Rey%20-%20Honeymoon.png After finishing 4th last year with her 2nd album, Lana is one place lower with her 3rd album (though albeit with half the sales). I'm not going to lie Honeymoon was disappointing for Lana, especially after Ultraviolence which I am probably still listening to more than Honeymoon! Though Honeymoon is still an excellent album and has spent 3 weeks at the top of my chart as well as 14 weeks top 10! Freak is definitely my favourite and could easily fit onto Ultraviolence, stunning song! HBTB, 24 and Art Deco are all also incredible and I love the other ones in my highlights. However I don't really go back to any others apart from those and Honeymoon (the song) is atrocious and the worst thing Lana has done. Anyway Honeymoon is still very good and I adore the cover art!

I was so excited for Carly's return after ages and when the 30 second snippet leaked, omg I had it on repeat for hours, so incredible *.* And the full song was incredible for easily one of the best of the year! Carly's vocals and the production are so fun and the video is also amazing. The song spent 3 weeks at the top here before Taylor knocked Carly off and this spent a further 3 weeks at #2 and 12 in the top 10! The song stayed forever and has shifted a massive 2.509M which is so good. I love I Really Like You and it is so deserving of a spot in my top 5  GRL v TAYLOR v TAYLOR. Who's out next? 4. Get Weird- Little Mix 1,811,200 Chart Run: 1-1-2-2-1-2-2-.... There are so so many highlights on this album and basically no filler! Love Me Like You & Black Magic are two of the best songs of the year, Weird People is a pop anthem, Secret Love Song is a beautiful ballad with fantastic vocals from the girls, A.D.I.D.A.S is a sexy jam, OMG is Charli-XCX-lite fun jam, Lightning is DNA Pt II gosh this album really is incredible and one of the best pop albums of the last few years
December 31, 20159 yr This is moving so fast :o Really surprised as "Sax" being so high but with half of its weeks at #1 I probably shouldn't be.

Lighthouse is a moving tribute to band member Simone who sadly died in 2014 and this song reduces me to tears everytime I hear it. When this premiered, I listened to it for 4 hours in a row as it was just so beautiful and incredible. The girls vocals are so incredible and the song has such a beautiful and heartbreaking chorus. The song was an OA/OS release in my chart and the track debuted at #1 with sales of over 500k. The song spent a gigantic 19 weeks in my top 10 and spent 3 weeks at #2 also. The song was one of the longest runners with 32 weeks. This is such an inspirational and heartbreaking song to me as the lyrics hit me so hard personally and are so beautiful. Easily up there with the best of the year  3. Sucker- CharlI XCX 2,159,560 Chart Run: 1-2-2-2-1-1-4-4-2-2-4-4-3-3-5-4-6-7-8-9-6-7-6-2-7-10-10-X Highlights: Red Balloon, Need Ur Luv, Break The Rules, Boom Clap, Sucker, Doing It, London Queen, Breaking Up, Gold Coins, Famous http://i759.photobucket.com/albums/xx240/MarthaJonesFan/Cover%20Sleeves/CharliXCX-Sucker.png Charli XCX boomed with her 2nd album Sucker which is an absolutely amazing album packed full of so many good tunes. The album held in my top 10 for ages (at least half a year) and spent 3 weeks at #1 as well as 6 weeks at #2 which led to the album passing 2M! There are so many incredible tracks on this album: the singles, in particular Break The Rules, are fun pop anthems, Need Ur Luv is inventive greatness, Red Balloon is a joy to listen to, London Queen is a tune, Famous is fun and I love the rest of the album. Such good fun. TAYLOR V TAYLOR MEGHAN V TAYLOR WHO WILL WIN?

This album is full of so many bubblegum pop and fun pop gems with classics such as All About That Bass, Lips Are Movin & Dear Future Husband all putting smiles on your face! Title is a fun bop and Like I'm Gonna Lose You is a beautiful ballad and I also adore Bang Dem Sticks which is so fun! Such a promising debut and a terrific album! 1. After Taylor came 3rd last year after 2 months, she had absolutely no competition this year as she wins the year with 4.783M copies shifted, over double of what Title sold in 2nd. The album spent more weeks at #1 (I'm sure that's its full chart-run and not just 2015 in this post) and of course many other weeks at #2 and onwards, leading to spending all 52 weeks of 2015 in my top 10! This is so near my favourite album of all time now as I still listen to it so regularly and all the singles, as well as album tracks like New Romantics & I Know Places are all incredible and still sound epic any time I hear them

Wildest Dreams was immediately one of my favourites from 1989 as it is such a beautiiful ballad that is really one of the best songs this decade. The song finally reached a peak of #1 when the incredible video was released and it spent 2 weeks at the top as well as over 20 weeks top 10 over the last 2 years! The song is still riding high in the top 40 and doing incredible, epic single  1. Anyway Bad Blood has a massive jump from 77 last year and spent an incredible 6 weeks at number #1 after the incredible video and remix premiered, both excellent *.* The song sold over 600k on its 1st week at the top and held steady in the top 10 for about 10 weeks and also held strongly during the rest of its chart run. Kendrick's raps are really good and Taylor of course is amazing as ever and the production is so so good on this version. So here it is, my number 1 for 2015, Bad Blood  I hope you have enjoyed my EOY countdown and thanks for all the comments  Recap tomorrow!
December 31, 20159 yr Slight technical hitch: #2 is a lot better than #1. But really, I can't fault any of the top 10. Black Magic, Runnin' (Lose It All), Dear Future Husband, What If, Run Away With Me, Wings, Lips Are Movin', Shake It Off, Hello, Style, Love Me Like You Do, Sax, Fight Song, Love Me Like You, I Really Like You, Lighthouse and Wildest Dreams are all amazing. Not a fan of Love Myself to be honest.
December 31, 20159 yr WOW you've finished your eoy already! :o Will comment when you recap but why Out of the Woods sow low? :( it's a 1989 highlight!
December 31, 20159 yr this went by quickly, I didn't get to comment on much! good to see Bad Blood at #1 ahead of Wildest Dreams, I prefer that. I would've predicted that to be #1 anyway.
January 1, 20169 yr Great top 2 singles there *.* On the album chart would have liked Little Mix to get it but fair enough Well Done Taylor  Great to see Carly Rae's I Really Like You so high
January 2, 20169 yr Sorry this completely passed me by but I'm all caught up now. Terrific countdown, love most of the songs in the top 17 although I'd have preferred Wildest Dreams over Bad Blood for the #1. I'd forgotten about Lighthouse but it's stunning, just a shame about the circumstances and that they haven't released anything else since then. So glad I Really Like You lived up to its potential, and Love Me Like You as well, was overjoyed at its new official peak no matter how annoying #11 is! Great write-up for Love Me Like You Do, an unbelievably good song and the way it builds as it goes along is incredible. Glad that Lips Are Movin' is Meghan's highest song here as it's by far my favorite of hers. I'm also so happy Wings became a proper hit for Birdy and hope that bodes well for her new single. And this thread would not be complete without the Flashlight video thumbnail *.* Sooo many songs that will feature in my thread as well so I'll save the rest of my thoughts on them for later! Well done!!
January 2, 20169 yr A lot of great songs in here. :D Bad Blood is a brilliant number one. Kendrick's verses are brilliant and make the song 10x better. Black Magic, Sax, Wildest Dreams & I Really Like You are good too. :)
January 2, 20169 yr Not too surprised as to who's #1 year :P but really good countdown this - far too many good songs to mention!
January 2, 20169 yr Hi UV Yay at LMLY being so high, just a perfect pop song, so many hooks, so much fun, so much energy, a fun video, I love it. Never gets old, that chorus is SO much fun to sing to. Yay at Title being at #1 for 2015 albums only at least, a fantastic pop album with so much personality and I love her doowop sound as well. I really wish Title was pushed as a single because it's so much fun. Go Tay though, was my #1 last year so I do love it Bad Blood is definitely one of Taylor's best now. Wildest Dreams is gorgeous but she left it too long for it to be a single and I'd tired of it by then but Bad Blood got a fresh new mix and a fun fierce video which really injected some more life into it. I love the ad libs too at the end, a lot of fun to sing to.
January 7, 20169 yr Sorry didn't get to comment on this much. Bad Blood is a great EOY #1 indeed. Perfection in every way the song, the guest vocals from Kendrick Lamar and the music video must be my favourite music video of 2015.
January 9, 20169 yr Absolutely LOVING the Taylor domination here Sam, what a fantastic EOY overall too  Well done on such effort in the countdown!!
