December 23, 20159 yr Author Thanks again guys  Male >>>>> Left of the Middle tho Joseph -_- it's such a lovely album. That's incorrect  Counting Down the Days > Come to Life (not even joking, I love it lol) > Left of the Middle > White Lilies Island >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Male.
December 23, 20159 yr Author Artists http://i759.photobucket.com/albums/xx240/MarthaJonesFan/Cover%20Sleeves/Lucie%20Silvas.png 10 Lucie Silvas So the first in the top 10 artists countdown! I will be posting a new artist every 20 songs. Lucie Silvas kicks things off. Lucie's one of my all-time favourite artists (I'd rank her 4th behind Girls Aloud, One Direction and S Club 7). 2015 has been an unusually busy year for Lucie, releasing a self-titled EP at the start of the year followed by her long-awaited third studio album Letters to Ghosts. I've explained my thoughts on the album already so I won't repeat myself but Lucie herself has always been both a joy and a complete frustration to follow, from a fan's perspective  She's so lovely on Twitter and she favourites my tweets on occasion too but the length of time this album tool to come out has been a nightmare! I do realise that was partly out of her control though, what with no record label for many years. I'm seeing Lucie live in 2016 for the first time which is something I'm incredibly excited about, having been a fan for 11 years now. I hope Lucie continues to release music and doesn't take quite so long with the next album! Although I wouldn't be shocked if she does take a while out as I feel she may want a family soon, as she's recently married. Either way, the new album will keep me happy for a while to come, as well as the first two albums which remain amazing.
December 23, 20159 yr Liking the Y&Y album but unfortunately I'm not familiar with a few of your songs lower down your chart :heehee: of those I do like Fuse ODG, Army was a good track from Delirium but it was quite low on my ranking of the album and she's got much better tracks on it imo. Liking Big Girls Cry :cheer: Now we're getting somewhere with Say Something and Heartbeat Song :music: and about half of your 221-230 section :D Together, Need Ur Luv (and the album as a whole) and loving Zowie and LM's songs :music: Don't mind a couple of Troye Sivan's songs :o especially liking Lean O and Heroes is definitely my favourite in your list so far   Was a bit surprised to see Pitbull and Ne-Yo here tbh :o I did quite like the Mikky Ekko entry in BJSC and I like Mirror Man (The song :heehee:) the Alex Adair remix in particular.
December 23, 20159 yr Same Air *.* If Lucie doesn't release anything next year, keep in mind you can listen to her husband's band and chart them instead! :D
December 23, 20159 yr 202 5 Seconds of Summer - Hey Everybody! - 33-27-20-27-37-X (5 weeks) Find this so underrated actually :o One of my 5SOS favourites! 191 Carrie Underwood - What I Never Knew I Always Wanted - 38-15-26-X (3 weeks) 196 Natalie Imbruglia - Instant Crush - 3-8-11-18-30-38-X (6 weeks) 199 Selena Gomez - The Heart Wants What It Wants - 28-15-24-32-36-X (5 weeks) 187 Ella Henderson - Yours - 39-X-26-19-9-14-19-29-40-X (8 non-consecutive weeks) Beautiful ballad  189 Olly Murs - Up (feat. Demi Lovato) - 5-8-10-15-26-31-X (6 weeks) 190 Ella Henderson - Mirror Man - 17-26-14-21-23-29-40-X (7 weeks) Slaying by missing top 10 and having massive longevity- same in my chart also! Really good track and wish it dented the chart :( Also fantastic to see Lucie in the top artists of the year here, would probably not have listened to her if it wasn't for you and a couple of others and have fallen so much in love with her over this year  Especially What You're Made Of
December 24, 20159 yr Hi Joseph Sort of forgot Yours was this year, I really do love her voice but her material has yet to massively excite me yet. This got pretty close though and it was a lovely ballad, shame it never properly took off into a bigger hit. Talking about Ella, Mirror Man is definitely the best. She sounds fantastic on it and it was a bit more edgy and upbeat than her other stuff (bar Ghost which I don't like due to overplay :/) I'm also a fan of the rather classy video. :D
December 24, 20159 yr Hi 239 Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello - I Know What You Did Last Summer - 16-33-… (2+ weeks) I've only heard this once and it was ok. I love Camila so I'll probably give it another go. 230 Little Mix - Love Me Like You - 27-25-34-X-39-X (4 non-consecutive weeks) 228 David Zowie - House Every Weekend - 38-13-12-22-33-X (5 weeks) This is an absolute tune 223 Karen Harding - Say Something - 31-29-17-22-28-34-39-X (7 weeks) 213 Major Lazer & DJ Snake - Lean On (feat. MØ) - 26-27-39-X (3 weeks) 200 Pitbull & Ne-Yo - Time of Our Lives - 22-20-27-22-32-X (5 weeks) 199 Selena Gomez - The Heart Wants What It Wants - 28-15-24-32-36-X (5 weeks) Loved this a lot at the start of the year Great countdown so far :) Edited December 24, 20159 yr by RobinJuanPersie
December 24, 20159 yr Author Hi Lewis, thanks very much for the comments! :cheer: Huge thanks to Spadz, Jordan, UV and Josh as usual too *.* keep the comments coming, I love reading them!

I Found a Girl is a song about falling in love with a lesbian :') Ryan Hailee Steinfeld makes an appearance with Love Myself at #179, followed by Jasmine Thompson with her major label debut Adore. Both of those tracks were songs I thought could fare better than they did, particularly with Hailee's hype and Jasmine's exposure on Ain't Nobody (Loves Me Better). Conrad Sewell also makes his first appearance, and his only appearance for a LONG time as, not a spoiler as it's probably quite obvious, he features several times at the business end of the chart. Alyxx Dione seemed to be a rising star when she was signed by Jason Derulo although their collaboration didn't ever take off. Shame, it's a pretty great R&B/pop song! Lauren Aquilina released a gorgeous cover of Time To Say Goodbye for the Downton Abbey advert and it fared better than her recent original single for me. Lovely track  Grace appears for the first time in the same section as her brother, with Boyfriend Jeans at #174, followed by Tori Kelly and Should've Been Us. Tori still has the #1 hit Nobody Love to come! Kelly Clarkson makes her last appearance at #172, before we close off with Troye Sivan's new single YOUTH, a track which will probably impact next year too with its impact date set for January. December 24, 20159 yr Hi Joseph Invincible is a pretty lovely track, probably her best single this era. She sounds fantastic when she really goes for it and I loved the ad libs she started adding in for live performances. Thought HS was a bit irritating so this was a return to form. Should've Been Us is lovely too, one example of just a really good pop song and Jeremih adds a bit of flava too, hope we get to here more from her over in the UK!

Chris Brown) - 19-10-11-17-24-29-33-X (7 weeks) 165 Taylor Swift - Style - 38-30-23-8-11-15-26-30-35-X (9 weeks) 166 Alesha Dixon - Tallest Girl - 7-16-21-24-37-40-X (6 weeks) 167 Jess Glynne - Don't Be So Hard On Yourself - 9-12-24-35-X (4 weeks) 168 Fergie - L.A.LOVE (la la) - 10-17-31-39-X (4 weeks) 169 Fifth Harmony - Sledgehammer - 10-14-21-34-X (4 weeks) 170 Charles Hamilton - New York Raining (feat. Rita Ora) - 12-19-26-39-X (4 weeks) A sea of one-week top 10 hits in this section! Although first, two top 20s. The first comes from Charles Hamilton, featuring Rita Ora who has a TRIPLE appearance in this section, and the first of five songs in the top 200. New York Raining felt very average to me on one listen but a few listens later and it clicked, the rap and vocals mesh really well together and it makes for a lovely song. The other non-top 10 here is from Melodifestivalen artists JTR with their song Building It Up. It wasn't successful in making it to Eurovision of course but I really enjoy it, and they have one more song to come. There's also one more Eurovision song to come, much higher up. No shocks as to what it is if you know me well. Onto the top 10s now! Fifth Harmony made my top 200 with all three of their singles, and Sledgehammer is the lowest of them (by quite a way) at #169. It's a great song but lacks the punch of BO$$ and Worth It for me. L.A.LOVE (la la) is the first single of Fergie's that I've really liked, it's completely unoriginal but very fun. Jess "horrible woman" Glynne has been one of the most overrated names of recent times in pop music but despite my shade, I am still a fan and DBSHOY (long song title, cba typing it) was her first top 10 in my chart. She still has Take Me Home to come. The second single from Alesha Dixon's album Do It For Love makes it to #166 here - Tallest Girl failed to live up to The Way We Are for me but it's still nice. Taylor Swift makes her first appearance of four, with Style, my least favourite single from 1989 but its placing here shows that it's still a solid track! Rita's here again at #164 as the impossible happens and Chris Brown appears in my EOY :/ he still appears later on as he somehow managed to feature on two good songs in a year. Charli's at #163 with flop single Famous and then finally, we have Rita again to round off the section, as she collaborates with Sigma on their best single to date. PICK OF THE SECTION uFgsXoBgGkU
December 26, 20159 yr Not much musical overlap between us, but we share the love for Fuse ODG! Thinking About You was a bit slower than his chart hits, but equally infectious. Actually, I quite like New York Raining, Coming Home and Don't Be So Hard On Yourself from that last section. I do prefer Rita Ora's 'urban' leaning music, even if her vocals on the Sigma record barely sound like her. Looking further back, Lean On is a big favourite of mine and Say Something & House Every Weekend are big songs too!
December 26, 20159 yr 161 Sigma & Rita Ora - Coming Home - 18-9-17-32-… (4+ weeks) Go on Sigora  164 Rita Ora - Body on Me (feat. Chris Brown) - 19-10-11-17-24-29-33-X (7 weeks) 165 Taylor Swift - Style - 38-30-23-8-11-15-26-30-35-X (9 weeks) Style  166 Alesha Dixon - Tallest Girl - 7-16-21-24-37-40-X (6 weeks) 167 Jess Glynne - Don't Be So Hard On Yourself - 9-12-24-35-X (4 weeks) 168 Fergie - L.A.LOVE (la la) - 10-17-31-39-X (4 weeks) 169 Fifth Harmony - Sledgehammer - 10-14-21-34-X (4 weeks) Good section tbh
December 26, 20159 yr that's Jess "queen of music" Glynne to you :P yay for her appearing here :cheer:
December 27, 20159 yr 161 Sigma & Rita Ora - Coming Home - 18-9-17-32-… (4+ weeks) 163 Charli XCX - Famous - 29-6-11-21-24-37-X (6 weeks) Love this but Need Ur Luv should've been a single instead! 164 Rita Ora - Body on Me (feat. Chris Brown) - 19-10-11-17-24-29-33-X (7 weeks) 165 Taylor Swift - Style - 38-30-23-8-11-15-26-30-35-X (9 weeks) At least 155 places too low :drama:  This has grown on me so much over the year and really is incredible and one of the best of the year for me  Talking of Taylor, I'm listening to Wildest Dreams and hope that is high up here! 166 Alesha Dixon - Tallest Girl - 7-16-21-24-37-40-X (6 weeks) This was terrible which was a shame as I usually love Alesha :( 167 Jess Glynne - Don't Be So Hard On Yourself - 9-12-24-35-X (4 weeks) 168 Fergie - L.A.LOVE (la la) - 10-17-31-39-X (4 weeks) So underrated  169 Fifth Harmony - Sledgehammer - 10-14-21-34-X (4 weeks) Probably my favourite FH track, incredible  170 Charles Hamilton - New York Raining (feat. Rita Ora) - 12-19-26-39-X (4 weeks) 175 Lauren Aquilina - Time To Say Goodbye - 6-14-18-28-X (4 weeks) Such a beautiful song and possibly my favourite by Lauren  179 Hailee Steinfeld - Love Myself - 14-17-22-33-X (4 weeks) Pop gem
December 27, 20159 yr 161 Sigma & Rita Ora - Coming Home - 18-9-17-32-… (4+ weeks) :cheer: Life was a great album 163 Charli XCX - Famous - 29-6-11-21-24-37-X (6 weeks) found this really catchy tbh. in a wierd sort of way  164 Rita Ora - Body on Me (feat. Chris Brown) - 19-10-11-17-24-29-33-X (7 weeks) decent but ORA era >>>>>> 165 Taylor Swift - Style - 38-30-23-8-11-15-26-30-35-X (9 weeks) :music: 167 Jess Glynne - Don't Be So Hard On Yourself - 9-12-24-35-X (4 weeks) great, but sounds a little too similar to HMH which was a little better 168 Fergie - L.A.LOVE (la la) - 10-17-31-39-X (4 weeks) great verses :music: but the "lala" choruses ruined it :drama: 169 Fifth Harmony - Sledgehammer - 10-14-21-34-X (4 weeks) :music: this deserved to be a hit, at least top 40  170 Charles Hamilton - New York Raining (feat. Rita Ora) - 12-19-26-39-X (4 weeks) great track but rather forgettable Edited December 27, 20159 yr by Mace Spindu
December 27, 20159 yr Author Artists http://i759.photobucket.com/albums/xx240/MarthaJonesFan/Cover%20Sleeves/The%20Vamps.png 9 The Vamps My #1 artist of last year, the later release of The Vamps' second album leads to a slightly lower position this year as they were absent from most of 2015 for me. Wake Up is an excellent album and a worthy follow-up to Meet The Vamps (one of the best albums of the decade), with highlights including Volcano, Written Off, Rest Your Love and I Found a Girl. It's not quite as good as the debut album but then I didn't expect it to be really. I saw The Vamps live for the fourth, fifth and sixth times this year  First at the O2 Arena in May, which was such a great experience and I enjoyed it so much, followed by their fan-fest at IndigO2, a smaller venue before the album got released, and then at the Hippodrome, a club in Kingston before they did a meet and greet. I got my album signed, plus selfies with all four members of the group, and the best thing for me was that Connor (first on the right in the album artwork) actually remembered me from when I've met them before, despite it being well over a year ago since I last saw him! The Vamps will no doubt continue to dominate my music love in 2016 as they continue to promote the album, and I hope they pick the right choices to keep up their #1 streak in my chart - all seven singles have hit the top spot! I'm proud to say I've been a big fan right from Can We Dance and I'm making the most of the opportunities I have to see them live and meet them, which is something I've not really had the chance to do with other artists. One of my favourite bands ever and despite more muted chart success, I'm sure they'll be around for a while to come especially with the Wake Up arena tour next year.
