Now that it qualified for this weeks chart, slightly unexpected that - after some earlier info.

Is it going to qualify for this coming Sunday's chart?

I think it has another week in the chart, once the track gets deleted, it still active for another 2 weeks
Well, it depends on when it was deleted. Its 2 weeks after that, so its either got no more weeks or 1 more week!
Yeh, it was definitely starred out in the midweeks at some point wasn't it?

You don't think the OCC had a change of heart then?

Nope, I think it will be gone either next week, or the week after, unfortunately.

The Chart Supervisory Committee (CSC) - the people who actually draw up the chart rules for the OCC to enforce - are meeting today (Monday 25) with the chart rules top of their agenda. This meeting should see some discussion about the inclusion of all downloads from January, but it wouldn't surprise me if there was some sort of immediate announcement about rules about deleted singles.

If the rule is gonna change sooner rather than later, they may as well change it with immediate effect... the next meeting of the CSC isn't scheduled until November 21, and the new rules will need to be agreed by then.

tell you what it'd be funny if it was actually deleated in america and not here and someone got the message mixed up on the web

Excellent information Robbie.

So in fact whether it will be included could well change tomorrow.

Excellent timing for them to sort out this. Brillant news, thank you.

Thanks for posting this news, Robbie.

I really hope they do change the rules about deleted singles.

Does anyone have any information on what happened at the Chart Supervisory Committee meeting?

There's nothing been posted anywhere about it, though the meeting was reported in the current Music Week as being due to take place yesterday rather than Monday. Perhaps we might hear something in the next day or two...
