March 20, 20169 yr A very scary crash there for Alonso indeed. Very pleased to see him walking out from that crash and good to see this from Gutierrez: Gutierrez and Alonso
March 23, 20169 yr A black day for free-to-air F1 fans: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/formula-1/fo...ely-sky-7617437
March 26, 20169 yr Author That's a complete joke. But all the little twat in charge cares about is money so it's hardly surprising. Ultra soft tyres will be at Monaco and Canada as expected.
March 31, 20169 yr Fernando Alonso has been ruled out of this weekend's Bahrain GP due to fractured ribs & a partially collapsed lung sustained in his massive crash at the season opener. McLaren reserve driver Stoffel Vandoorne will make his F1 debut in his place. Sad to hear but he says there's a likelihood it will just be the one race out as per last year where he missed the season opener due to a crash in pre-season testing. Always in the wars Fernando!
March 31, 20169 yr Author Maybe not, it could be touch and go for China as well I heard. I hope he heals swiftly though as he is by far the most talented driver on the grid. His fingernail clippings have more talent than hamilton.
March 31, 20169 yr Wishing Alonso a speedy recovery. Hope he is back for China. Interested to see Vandoorne does on his debut.
April 2, 20169 yr Author Yeah that was interesting to see. Probably a good early indication that Vandoorne will replace Button next year and not be Magnussened. The lap record falling today was great to see, it's just a shame it went to that c**t instead of someone actually deserving. I hope Nico breaks it tomorrow in the race.
April 2, 20169 yr Change back qualifying to the format from last year, this was even worse than the last race. Well done though to Wehrelin on his 16th in the Manor.
April 3, 20169 yr Seriously can't be considering aggregate qualifying can they. That didn't work in 2005 by the way. A good race although was a bit flat in the end. Another win for Mercedes and Rosberg. Some drama at the start especially, a messy start indeed. Great action in the midfield. Well done especially to Romain Grosjean and Haas on finishing 5th. A quote from Grosjean: "This is the American dream! This is unbelievable. Fantastic performance you have to say. Also good drive from Vandoorne to finish 10th as a stand-up for Alonso. Manor have really progressed especially with Wehrelin good drive for 13th. What do you make of the race? Channel 4's coverage is good but Steve Jones doesn't look comfortable as presenter.
April 3, 20169 yr Nico Rosberg in the form of his life. Really hoping that he will win the world title this year.
April 3, 20169 yr this was exciting race, so bad for Lewis start, he did recover decently but damage on car obv cost him better placing. Yaay for Ricciardo, Grosjean and Vandoorne, fantastic drivings from them.
April 7, 20169 yr Best decision of the season without a doubt. Shouldn't have changed in the first place.
April 8, 20169 yr Anyway forgot to post my round up of the Bahrain GP! Another pretty interesting race, quite dramatic at the start but did fizzle out a bit towards the end. Shame we were robbed of a Vettel challenge before it had even begun but again, thanks to a poor Hamilton start things turned interesting. Did think Kimi may be able to mount a challenge to Nico but alas he couldn't quite manage such, fight between Merc & Ferrari looks pretty tasty though! Fantastic to see Grosjean & Haas managing a top 5 finish and passing a Williams mid-race! I'll give my driver of the day to Vandoorne, fantastic to get the McLaren in the points on his debut and a very solid drive start to finish.
April 13, 20169 yr Author Very pleased we managed to fight back to 11th from a pit lane. So close to those elusive first points since returning!
April 16, 20169 yr In the end the penalty didn't matter! Disappointing for Lewis but will be great hopefully watching him fight through the pack, sets up for an entertaining spectacle. Also fantastic to see Ricciardo beat both Ferraris! :o Still feel Rosberg will run away with it but hopefully he gets a poor start like in Oz & gets jumped by the flock behind.
April 16, 20169 yr Author The only thing disappointing about hamiltons engine is that it didn't happen during the race and lead to a retirement. Looking forward to seeing what Danny Ric can do tomorrow and see if KMag can get us our first point.
