Little Mix are better than that, they seemed just there to get Fleur another promo slot without it being OTT her singing sax again. Black magic is like 6 months old or whatever and they have a top 20 right now on itunes and a new single coming, they really were just there doing Black Magic as an excuse to get Fleur back on.

I think it's well established through 10 lives shows a piece plus numerous live performances that BOTH Fleur and Little Mix are very good live vocalists. Maybe Santa should bring you the gift of objectivity for Christmas.

That's your perogative of course. Plenty of people pay through the nose for artists who mime all the time and put on an excellent show. I'd take that over an amazing singer standing still for 2 hours, but that's called differences of opinion. Something which goes both ways.

As a poster who normally loves things that would be discussed in the indie/alt forum and someone who doesn't really care for anything X Factor related at all, I can't help but admit that the Fleur/Little Mix performance was really very entertaining indeed.

But yes, this also merits a slightly less even handed post wishing Rod Stewart would NEVER BE ON MY TV SCREEN AGAIN.

Fleur and Little Mix did not mime. Yes they had pre-recorded backing vocals, but every major pop performance has backing vocals these days unless its a big vocal ballad or something like that. All the X Factor contestants themselves have pre-recorded backing vocals to make the performance sound the best it can. That does not mean they are miming, and Fleur and Little Mix certainly did not mime.

And seeing as you are determined to bring Ben into every discussion, I'm pretty sure he will have used pre-recorded backing vocals in the past - I seem to remember his performance of 'Demons' had some in the final last year, but even if not - there will definitely be at least one performance.
