Another dark green update for NHS - JB red

Did someone start an 'anyone but Bieber for Xmas #1' campaign that I missed? ;)

Edited by vidcapper

Going to be a massive 24 hours for the christmas battle, I'm guessing that if Justin manages to claw it back to 50% combined by tonight his streams advantage will be too much to overcome, I seriously hope Justin manages it.

Come on Xmas eve Beliebers! Hopefully people will start receiving gift cards a day early or something

So not up for this choir at No.1, parts of the song (the guy's solo specifically) are painful to listen to and it will be less remembered than Justice Collective (remember them?)

I guess it's an unwritten rule that 'normal songs' aren't allowed to top the UK chart at Xmas anymore.

Not me! :)

15. Shawn Mendes - Stitches

30. Years & Years - Eyes Shut

32. Sia - Alive

40. Taylor Swift - Wildest Dreams

41. Little Mix Feat Jason Derulo - Secret Love Song

42. Adele - When We Were Young

46. Little Mix - Black Magic

52. Elle King - Ex & Oh's

63. Charlie Puth - One Call Away [Oh why has this randomly climbed 100 places?]

69. Selena Gomez - Hands To Myself

107. Leona Lewis - One More Sleep

The Christmas songs have not had much of an effect in the slightest this year, either has the new 59p batch. I thought 'One Last Time' would have easily been top 75, not 175.

It seems a little premature to say that - their streams are likely to be massive this week...

The nhs choir are 1/100 on now but I think it could now be the biggest shock ever than bieber nicks it.

Tempted to back him at 66/1!

I'm surprised Bieber's odds have drifted so far back. I know he's unlikely to get the No.1 now but he's practically guaranteed another 13k today (assuming some streams aren't conveniently lost!) whatever happens whereas anything could happen to the choir. I notice they're still getting a lot of promo and support on TV and radio though so no doubt they'll remain consistent throughout the day.

Scary that Justin Bieber is now 66/1 which is rather ridiculous considering we know that one day of streaming is missing which means the gap as of yesterday was 7,000, if there's anymore data missing then it will be a much larger lead.

I think NHS will win by around 3,000 now which will be disappointing but it all depends on how they hold up today because 'Love Yourself' should pass the 500,000 streams mark today while NHS don't even have 25,000 and that gap is equally as huge as the iTunes gap.

But Bieber is being outsold 3.5-1 on iTunes, plus the NHS Choir presumably have physical sales too?

Yes, but the streaming difference is equally as huge.

NHS as far as I know don't have physicals as this track has been out for a couple of years.

Chris Evans supporting the NHS track again this morning so expect a dark green update

Edit - 2nd version  to #5 now

I wish nothing but the worst for Chris Evans and Gareth Malone.

I do feel a bit sorry for those who've bet on Bieber. Like others have said, I would have preferred him to get the #1 naturally, to prove that a "normal" release could get to Christmas #1 again. :(

boo at chris evans :(

As I said above One Call Away was record of the week on radio 2. The Christmas songs are lower on downloads but higher on streams so it'll all even out in the end I'd say.

Can you still put a bet on the chart?

I wish nothing but the worst for Chris Evans and Gareth Malone.

Normally I'm no fan of them either - but I'll make an exception just this once...
