The actual Thursday data from Spotify and Apple Music just doesn't get used at all, it doesn't get carried over. They upweight the data for the other 6 days based on the trend shown and essentially estimate Thursday figures. This happens with pure sales too at times but not on such a frequent basis I imagine. Christmas Day's streaming will count to next week's chart though.

I think it is partly that, but also, he probably doesn't care about being Christmas #1. It's not a thing in America, it wouldn't mean a thing to him.
