December 21, 20159 yr Author Hi Ball -_- Olly, Sia, Coldplay -_- , Sigala, Fleur, KDA :D , Grimes, Ben/Kelly are all fab fab fab, oh yeah http://www.newnownext.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/madonna-fall.gif ICONIC *.* looking forward to seeing much more Oldonna on here B-) That gif still sends shivers down my spine. Please don't :( Oh this happened suddenly, Hi Bal I do like Alive but sometimes I just think shut up! My dad summed it up pretty well because he likes it but the first time he said 'who's this shouting girl on the radio'... It's a strong track but some of the high notes are just painful even though she sounds great on the majority of the track, I preferred the more held-back stuff like Elastic Heart/Big Girls Cry. AOAL is new but it'll be very high in my EOY still, it may just have the most catchy instrumental hook of all time. I'd be the first person to criticise the boringness of slow songs like Yellow and Fix You but this is a really fantastic song, was so worried it would miss the top 10 officially to begin with but it seems to be getting more attention now :D I don't waste time B-) Yeah as much as I adore her, 'Alive' is a bit *too* much even for me at times. It's still a bold song though and very ~her~. The two you listed are two of my big favourites though <3 I'm glad it's becoming a hit too! They deserve it especially if it's their last album :snif: Kiss Me is Olly's WORST single in ages :( not as awful as Stevie Knows though. *you're wrong gif* :( :hi: Mace Spindu here  86. December 21, 20159 yr Time for bumper comment time  29. Bebe Rexha - I Don’t Wanna Grow Up Love this EP, especially I'm Gonna Show You Crazy  86. Olly Murs - Kiss Me One of my favourite Olly songs! 87. Sia – Alive Doesn't hold a patch on Chandelier but still stunning *.* 89. Indiana - Heart on Fire I actually forgot Indiana existed until yours and Taylor Jago's threads oops! I do like Heart On Fire though! 92. Stereo Kicks - Love Me So This is diabolical 93. Sigala - Sweet Lovin' [b}Prefer Easy Love but really enjoying this at the moment, great dance song![/b] 94. KDA ft. Tinie Tempah & Katy B - Turn The Music Louder Love this also  95. Fleur East – Breakfast Definitely one of the highlights from the album which I found quite disappointing :( This song does end too suddenly for my liking though as well :( 96. Madonna – Graffiti Heart First of many Queen Madonna slayage here *.* 97. Kanye West ft. Paul McCartney - Only One Shocked I liked this so much, really nice track 98. Grimes - Flesh Without Blood So need to listen to the album as love the songs I have heard! 99. Jordin Sparks ft. 2 Chainz - Double Tap Hate this and hated her new album :( Which is a shame considering I adore her selftitled album and Battlefield is one of my favourite albums of all time! 100. December 21, 20159 yr Author In your fantasy, dream about me, and all that we could do with this emotion LZ10M_s62NM 81. Madonna – Queen 82. Justin Bieber - Love Yourself 83. Carly Rae Jepsen – Emotion 84. Kid Ink ft. Dej Loaf - Be Real 85. Asta ft. Allday – Dynamite A BJSC entry from D'yermak'er start us off here featuring the iconic "snoopy" rap from 'Allday' *_* Asta explodes on 'Dynamite', a fun filled song full of choice lyrics and a catchy-as-hell chorus. Kid Ink teams up with Dej Loaf, the swaggy rapper / 12 year old school boy (delete as appropiate) in 'Be Real'. I loved this from first listen and it became a #Balbot classic (much like 'Dynamite') during the summer, even being heard while out clubbing and cementing it as a favourite of the year. It is totally Loaf's vibes that win us over and she has another song to come quite soon too~ Carly Rae Jepsen here for what could be her only appearance in this countdown :nocheer: The title track from her stunning album was one of the first songs to properly hit me, but since then others have overtaken it and so it settles in the lower regions of the countdown here. Still it's a near perfect pop song, filled with her charming personality and glorious tones - a good depiction of what the album as a whole is like and a strong reflection of its message too but much more on that later (and yet another song that helped to define the summer with Rob ;o)! Man of the moment Bieber makes his first appearance too woop. I've been a fan for a while (aesthetically AND musically, ok!) and he is my #1 dream guy, but this year he proved that his music is as strong as his visuals with a stellar year. I've always willed him to bounce back even when it looked like winning people back was inconceivable so it's an incredible thing to see his success this year <3 And finally one of the most autobiographical songs on the album (though not featured on all versions, WHY?) the aptly titled 'Queen' by Madonna tells of her rise and fall and the future without her presence - a dark, damning scary future indeed. 'Queen' is powerful, revealing, open and totally honest. The most fitting track to end a very personal album.
December 21, 20159 yr More Madonna *.* And adore Emotion, a fantastic album track from Carly and one of the highlights of the album
December 21, 20159 yr only a few songs here that I love, great to see 'Sweet Lovin' here tho  'Turn The Music Louder' and surprisingly 'Love Yourself' are also great

December 22, 20159 yr Author Keep getting the feeling you wanna leave this all behind -MGB_G_ZjMo 27. J. Cole – 2014 Forest Hills Drive Fire Squad / Apparently / Wet Dreamz 28. One Direction – Made It In The A.M. Perfect / Drag Me Down / History Next up we have the final ever :o album from One Direction. Not ashamed to admit i've been a big fan of their previous ones, and while this doesn't come close to comparing to those, it's still a solid album full of lovely moments. The singles are the clear high points, even without Zayn the four remaining members emote throughout and sing with more passion than ever before because they know it's their last for a while. The one issue I have is how forgettable a lot of the tracks are - in their previous albums pretty much every track had a unique selling point that made it distinct, here many of them combine into one and it makes the whole experience less enjoyable. Still, despite my reservations, I am a fan of them and this, they just set the bar too high previously. Secondly no, we haven't gone back in time, despite the 2014 in the title, this is very much an album of NOW. J. Cole is a master lyricist, his words and messages are what makes his music so distinct and lively. In this album, it is perhaps his most revealing piece of work. Urban music recently (with the likes of Kendrick Lamar who is still to come) continues to be political, revolutionary and deeply personal. That is just what this album is - it is at times an indictment at the state of music in this day and age, and at other times a cry of passion from J.'s own life. A beautifully crafted and vocalised album.
December 22, 20159 yr Some gems so far! Be Real is quality and all the better he didn't rely on Chris Brown again as the Dej Loaf hook makes the song. Turn The Music (Louder) sounded very basic when I first heard it but the sort of song that grows the more you hear it. Katy B's chorus really heightens the anticipation for new solo material from her. Good to see A$AP Rocky and Miguel here too, even if I'd personally pick other songs from them!
December 22, 20159 yr Queen is utterly sublime, so personal and one of the songs on Rebel Heart that shows that she still has so much more to give.
December 22, 20159 yr Queen is sooooooo good, I have no idea how it wasn't on the main album! Dynamite too <3 Really grew on me after the contest oops.

Yeah 'Be Real' is all about Dej for me too! Glad you're liking a few of the picks in here :D Queen is utterly sublime, so personal and one of the songs on Rebel Heart that shows that she still has so much more to give. 'Queen' loving <3 not sure what she was thinking demoting it to bonus bonus track, it's main album worthy for sure! She certainly has much more to give, this album more than proves it  Thanks for the comments guys!
December 22, 20159 yr Author My heart screams hallelujah 6A_PpEg4x4I 76. Hurts - Some Kind Of Heaven 77. SYKES - Best Thing 78. Kanye West ft. Theophilus London, Allan Kingdom & Paul McCartney - All Day 79. Carly Rae Jepsen - I Really Like You 80. The Weeknd - The Hills In this set we have old favourites in the likes of Kanye West and brand new talent with Sykes. First though, The Weeknd, who I've been a fan of ever since Pavel introduced me to him many years ago, came back with this huge song that some had reservations about initially. For me it's the closest he's come to matching the appeal of 'Trilogy' so I welcomed it with open arms. A shame I can't say the same about the rest of the album :( Carly's mammoth year for me started with this.. which is a massive song in terms of how much I heard it this year, but it still falls quite a way short of the best that is to come from her in this year. It did start it all off, so i'll always look back on it fondly I suppose. 'All Day' or THEMUTEANTHEM if the Brit Awards performance is anything to go by has me very excited for Kanye in 2016, it turned up the volume and antics to the extreme just as I'd expect him to. 'Best Thing' is easily one of my favourite discoveries from BJSC this year, a glorious, joyous, cute song from the glorious, joyous, cute Josh - an artist to look out for next year! Hurts are next - in their reinvention with this era they turned the volume up load and got us pumping for the dancefloor, a change which really works for me. This was the lead single with an undeniably catchy chorus, but yet it is not quite the best from the album for me...
December 22, 20159 yr Oh dear at the Carly floppage :o I had to rub my eyes just to check I wasn't seeing things :heehee: I guess it has more of a Kiss sound than the rest of the album? Don't really like All Day n***a  Edited December 22, 20159 yr by Mace Spindu
December 23, 20159 yr Author Succumb to your youth, melt into seclude uAYPacrJnyQ 71. Kacy Hill - Foreign Fields 72. Dej Loaf - Like A Hoe 73. GENER8ION ft. M.I.A. - The New International Sound (Part II) 74. Madonna - Holy Water 75. Fleur East – Sax I've not even heard 'Sax' yet but i've decided to chart it :) Fleur East who I loved on the XF last year lived up to all expectations and delivered a serious JAM. The album doesn't quite live up to this song's hype but i'm very glad she made it big even for one hit after her incredible performance last year. Madonna is back Lol - I SAW HER PERFORM THIS LIVE AND IT WENT INTO 'VOGUE'. I SAW THE 'VOGUE' MIDDLE-8 being performed live :snif: :snif: Life goal ticked off. 'Holy Water' might be hated by many, but for me it's a fun, icky, shouldn't be taken too seriously, song from an otherwise quite serious album. So sexy. GENER8ION team up with M.I.A. for this absurd but insanely catchy song that kick-started MIA of 2015 that culminates in another HUGE song that is still to come... Dej Loaf with the aptly titled 'Like A How' shows she's one of the major urban players right now. Expecting a lot more goodness from her next year and I hope she delivers <3 Kacy Hill makes the first of 4 appearances here, with the lead single off her latest EP but strangely the one that connects with me the least. Still, it's a tempestuous, alluring beauty much like the artist herself. A lot more on her later too! Lyrically she is the most accomplished artist of the year for me.
