January 1, 201610 yr I have to say I was fearing a lot worse for the NHS Choir but #29 isn't that bad but it will end up crashing out the top 100 next week... Can't believe Louisa Johnson's fall...2 weeks in the top 40 for a winners single :lol: I think they're going to need something amazing for her proper debut single as this campaign has been a disaster so far which is a shame as I like her voice but Forever Young is just so dull.

January 1, 201610 yr She performed on Top of the Pops, but she'd already leapt up into the iTunes top 5 from #10ish on Christmas Day morning if I remember rightly. I don't think there was a specific boost of mroe than 3% or so after Top of the Pops, it was just one of those songs people bought with their giftcards!

That's only because all of their singles are counting towards multiple albums and repackages of albums and because the streaming album chart is a completely ridiculous concept that has little basis in fact.

January 2, 201610 yr Author Single sales and audio streaming charts up. Interestingly Louisa Johnson isn't even top 40 on sales, dropping 4-43 this week. Also the NHS choir don't break the record for the sales chart, "only" falling 1-14.

According to the OCC: Album streams will be counted by compiling the data from the 12 most-streamed tracks from each album. The top two most-streamed songs will be rounded down to the average of the next ten, with all songs being added together and then divided by 1,000. The overall number will then be added to the physical and digital sales of the album. In the US, the Billboard chart equates 1,500 streams of any song from an album to one sale. Are you saying that their record company decided to include sales of their singles with the albums? So we don't expect any of their singles to make the Top 200 chart? Otherwise it would be double counting. Just like adding their DVD sales to 1 meant they did not enter the video chart. But from Music Week 18/12/15, Coldplay's A Head Full Of Dreams, which experiences a 49.30% dip week-on-week to 119,555 sales as it falls 2-3, despite its streaming sales surging to 3,577 (from 1,859 last week) as the album debuts on free streaming services. Yet they had 6 tracks in the Top 200 singles chart. Were these counted twice?
