The 'NOW! That's What Dan Calls Music' Thread

It's the first chart of the year but there will still be a bit of a wait before we get to the first new #1 of the year, as in a close battle between Sigala and Felix Jaehn it is Sigala who snatches it for a NINTH week. Yep, he just keeps slaying the top end of the chart. To put it in perspective, 'Easy Love' didn't even spend nine weeks in the top thirty.

Felix Jaehn holds on to the #2 but at the same time jumps to #5 with his original 'Book Of Love' from last week's #48, which without checking has to be one of the biggest climbs ever (not quite as good as Martin Garrix's 50-4 jump a few weeks ago with 'Poison', speaking of which he reclaims the #4 spot this week). Completing the top 3 is Shaun Frank & KSHMR with 'Heaven' which spends a sixth week in the top three without going to #1. It's still got a while before it can overtake KSHMR's 'JAMMU' which spent eight weeks in the top 3.

KSHMR also gets a new entry in the top 10, with Marnik collaboration 'Bazaar' debuting at #7. With it sounding a lot like 'JAMMU' it is no surprise that it's doing well, but whether it can hold up well is yet to be seen.

Also entering the top 10 is Ferreck Dawn's 'Baby Slow Down' in collaboration with Franky Rizardo and Torica. It peaked at #15 a few weeks ago but it now jumps 18 places to this week's #9. The Writer's Block also enter the top 10 again with 'If You Love Me' which previously peaked at #9.

The second-highest new entry this week comes from Alan Walker who makes a good first impression at #14 with 'Faded'. This is one place ahead of a re-entry for Martin Garrix with 'Bouncybob'. It originally entered under the artist name 'ID' when a demo version of the song leaked and was rumoured to be by Garrix. The song got officially released on NYE however and thus re-enters. It could be even higher next week as it will have a full week rather than one day to 'sell'.

With the Christmas songs dropping out including three from last week's top 10 it would seem inevitable that some songs would re-enter the chart. Even moreso with the NYE/EOY chart effect. These re-entries include Zara Larsson 'Lush Life' which re-peaks at #21 this week, as well as some of the year's biggest hits. Lower down the chart there are also a few new entries for DJ Snake, Elle King and Post Malone.

Hey, very good chart as always. Love most of your entries in there. Such a good thing to see much dance/house tracks. Felix Jaehn, Martin Garrix, again Felix (this time with Polina and what a move, deserved and very good), again Martin Garrix, the lovely ballad of Jess Glynne - "Take Me Home", Bieber's song (which quietly could be Ed Sheeran's track) "Love Yourself", Avicii x3, MO, Major Lazer are among my faves from your chart! I want to make an appreciationg for all of your re-entries. Very good songs, I love 'em!

I wasn't expecting Felix Jaehn to have 2 top 5 hits simultaneously but he sure is bringing the goods! (well, 'Eagle Eyes' is only there because of the Lucas & Steve remix). Martin Garrix could have 2 top 5 simultaneous hits next week too, Bouncybob sure is growing on me quickly.

the KSHMR song is so banging, could possibly stick around a while. Same with Garrix's new song.

Ex's & Oh's is a great pop song, would quite like it to be a minor chart hit.
