Good to see DMD is last of the top 10. But noooooo at LWWY following it  it's such a fun song to listen to and its one of their strongest for me. That style suits them best I think.

08. Steal My Girl

Average: 7.822

Highest Rates: 11: (Joe), 10: (AdventAloud, Christmas Jay), 9: (Qween, Maurince Pie, Fgiboy2511, Snowbot, Riser, HausofTyne)
Lowest Rates: 1: (MerryFlynnmas), 6.5/6: (Bartsimpson, KWEEN DEE)

At #8 is Steal My Girl, released in September 2014 as the lead single from their 4th album Four. This makes the first from that era to drop here and considering that there were only 2 singles released from this album, it's a pretty good result. Expectations are always high for what they new single's gonna be and this does okay. It doesn't stray too far away from the "MM" sound, by having that arena rock sound with a feel good chorus and yet another brilliant music video. But honestly this probably ranks as my least fave lead single from them, not that it's bad or anything, in fact it's a very good track, but it lacks that spark that some of their other hits had. While it does progress their sound and maturity further and represent their album really well and the music video is a hell a lot of fun and it was nice seeing Danny DeVito again. Upon release it became another hit for the boys by reaching #3 in the UK charts and spent 2 months in the top 10 and have sold 540,000 copies, making it their 3rd best selling single. In the USA it also did very well by reaching #13 becoming their 6th top 20 hit. Elsewhere it topped the charts in Denmark and made top 10 peaks in Scotland, Ireland, South Africa, Spain, Australia, New Zealand and Slovakia. Then finally it managed top 20 peaks in 11 other countries.
Pretty much perfect top 7 :cheer: It's a great song, but I agree, one of their weaker lead singles, no shade, because all 5 are awesome
I like Steal My Girl but it's definitely their weakest lead single for me. The video is excellent though!

07. One Thing

Average: 8.064

Highest Rates: 11: (Adam's Satsuma, TheGrinch, Maurince Pie, Riser), 10: (Acidburn, Jimmy Jam, Doboggan, Davidson), 9: (Qween, Beatrix Kiddo, Mr Pmt, J*hq, James Silkstone, Taylor Jago)
Lowest Rates: 0: (UltraChristmas), 4: (KWEEN DEE)

At #7 is One Thing, released in January 2012 as the 3rd single from their debut album Up All Night. Originally this was much higher during the first half of the rates and was runner up for a while, but when it received a 0 it shot down from the top 5, then towards the end the scores slowed down, so now it has ended up at a respectable #7 position, which still isn't bad at all. This was actually one of the earliest tracks they recorded for the album along with WMYB and I Wish, and originally it was written as 2 different songs, but was then suggested by co-writer Savan Kotecha to merge both songs together into one, which turned out to be a great decision as on more than one occasion the boys have admitted that this is one they're favourite songs, and it's not hard to see why, of course this is a firm fan fave with it's catchy upbeat pop sound, with a memorable uplifting chorus that's always a delight to listen to. Upon release it peaked at #9 on the UK charts, becoming their 3rd top 10 hit and even outselling their previous single "GBY", despite it's lower peak. Elsewhere it was released as the album's 2nd single and became another success by reaching top 5 peaks in Australia and Hungary, top 10 in Ireland, and Scotland, then top 20 peaks in New Zealand and Slovakia. In the USA it became their 2nd top 40 hit peaking at #39 and went on sell over 1.4 Million Units.

I think One Thing is too high actually :o It's good and I enjoyed it lots at the time but it's not aged quite as well sadly.

:nocheer:

SMG also desired a top 5 placing but I couldn't see it happening tbh.

One Thing deserved top 3 but hey not everyone can have a good taste :P
Steal My Girl is waaay too low. :o

I agree with this. Should be an easy top 5. I think it's their most joyous lead singles and is such a fun, feel good song. So much better than One Thing at very least.

06. Perfect

Average: 8.241

Highest Rates: 10: (Acidburn, Jimmy Jam, Kylie Jackson, Taylor Jago), 9.5/9: (Joseph Carey, Beatrix Kiddo, Mr Pmt, J*hq, Maurince Pie, ***, Davidson, Bartsimpson, MIKEMYER, Riser, Joe, Christmas Jay), 8.5/8: (Qween, AdventAloud, Fgiboy2511, James Silkstone, Ultra Christmas, Snowbot, HausofTyne)
Lowest Rates: 3: (Liam), 4: (MerryFlynnmas)

At #6 we say goodbye to the last of their 5th album era singles Perfect, released in October 2015 as the 2nd single from their 5th album Made In The A.M. and marks their 2nd outing as a foursome and definitely ranks as one of their most interesting songs to date. While often compared to Taylor Swift's "Style", it does have similarities, but in my opinion it stands on it's own right, given a more polished sound and something that's different to anything they've released before, which is a good thing as it shows that the boys aren't afraid to try something new. While their previous single DMD, may have felt a little rushed, this definitely doesn't with it's gorgeous music and a nice bass tone that rings throughout and the 80's styled synth's, definitely makes this a step in the right direction for the boys. Upon release again the success built upon the hype of Zayn leaving, but still didn't stop them from getting their 13th UK top 10 hit, peaking at #2, while making a strong debut in the USA at #10, becoming their 6th top 10 hit there. Elsewhere it topped the charts in Ireland and Scotland, and top 5 peaks in Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Italy, Australia and South Africa, along with top 10 peaks in New Zealand, France and Belgium, then finally top 40 peaks in 13 other countries.

So just 5 left now and they are =

What Makes You Beautiful

Kiss You

Best Song Ever

Story Of My Life

Night Changes

Any guesses...

Edited by Acidburn

That is an ALMOST flawless top 5. Switch Story of My Life for Drag Me Down and it's perfect.

Think Story of My Life may win after some of the low scores WMYB got but I hope not

Would have preferred Perfect, or One Thing in the top 5 over Story of My Life. But that top 5

I predict:

1. WMYB

2. SOML

3. KY

4. NC

5. BSE

though still pulling for Kiss You   anything less than top 3 will be criminal!!!

Perfect is so good. It's better that Style :P

Kiss You shouldn't be there for my I'd have:

1) Night Changes

2) WMYB

3) Best Song Ever

4) Story Of My Life

5) Kiss You
