I've actually known the song for years but have never heard the vocal version! Nonetheless a great track!

I didn't know there was a vocal version until I looked the song up on YouTube as research for BJSC potentials just recently. Thought I'd send that version as it sounds more contest friendly. Could only find a 6 minute long vocal mix though so edited it down.

And so it seems that this month didn't turn out to be disastrous for us as we finish in a respectable 23rd position, a good result considering this entry was solely aimed towards the fans rather than the general audience of BJSC. We now look to the future as we unveil the return of a special artist for the contest's 10th anniversary and 100th contest.

For the 100th contest we have wheeled out TheFatRat and Laura Brehm again, following their big BJSC hit 'Monody' in BJSC 81. This time we send 'The Calling', which was released last year and finished in 4th position in our year-end list. We think it's even better than 'Monody' so hopefully we at least get a qualifier out of it.

TheFatRat celebrates his Qualification

 

 

Following last month's #tranceaelanda #forthefans entry we qualify with our special entry for BJSC 100, a rare self-recycle for the country as it is the second time we have sent TheFatRat and Laura Brehm into the final. With 'Monody' we finished in third place, could we go all the way to the top this time? Probably not in such a big contest but let's see if we can end the year with another top ten? BJSC 100 :: TheFatRat feat. Laura Brehm - The Calling

A grand and glorious finish for TheFatRat...

 

 

A pleasing final position for TheFatRat as we get ourselves another Top 20 hit, our sixth of the calendar year making it our most successful year to date, beating our previous 50% hit ratio in 2015 (and also matching 2015's 90% qualification ratio). 'The Calling' finished in 15th place, which is more impressive considering the final was made up of 47 nations, with 81 voting nations. We scored 253 points in the final, our second-highest point total of the year behind, of course, our winner 'Saving Light' which scored 369 points. Despite that, it is 'only' our 4th-highest position of the year, behind our winner as well as two 8th places.

 

As we look onwards to EOY season we encourage you to vote for 'Tu Conmigo' in Rejects (as our sole entry there!) and 'Saving Light' in TBO... as well as any other S DNLD entries you like of course. Here is a quick recap of our year, with audio links.

It should really be of surprise to no-one that Aeroche are once again the country I gave points to the most in 2017, with us giving them points in eight contests, including three gold medals and two bronzes.

 

More surprising though is the country in second, yes we were quite the fans of Pupok this year. We gave them points in five contests, including a gold and a silver. There is technically a tie for third place between Cor Lupus, Dobago and KlumRep but we have separated ties by number of contests followed by highest points awarded.
