Not Letting Go is criminally low. Who needs edge with those funky summer vibes and two R.Kelly references!

15 1480 David Zowie - House Every Weekend

Crashing out at the start of the top 15 is by far the worst #1 (and song) of 2015 (and six others agreed x). A horrible, tuneless mess, I was unlucky enough to hear it out on Thursday night and I really hear no redeeming features. Made worse by the fact it beat my favourite song of last year ("Shine" by Years & Years) to #1 by less than 1,000 copies. On a short chart week. JESUS WEPT.

14 1770 Rachel Platten - Fight Song

From the worst to one of my favourites, the sweet, anthemic and uplifting "Fight Song". Not like we have a shortage of empowerment anthems but it's such a charming little ditty and I have an even greater fondness after viewing the performance of Rachel singing it on stage with Taylor Swift.

Finally some poor tracks depart. House Every Weekend one of the worst dance songs of the year, let alone number ones. Fight Song very plain and still surprised to see a track like that manage #1 in 2015.
When it comes to 'OUSE every weekend, I have to admit I quite like it. x

Me too. 'Ouse > Fight Song.

Great bottom 3 :cheer: I guess NHS is last because of the annoyance of it beating Bieber in the last few days and causing Buzzjack losses everywhere :drama: and ofc all 3 songs are

Poor Marvin Gaye :( it's a great song really. VERY Surpised at Wiz being so low! It got very few negative comments about it from my experience around the forum. DMD is one of 1D's weakest and least exciting songs; glad it's low.

Love Yourself at #17? This is getting ridiculous now -_-

I think Jess/Tinie's position here is about right. Not that exciting but still quite a good song. Zowie's done quite well here imo. I seem to notice more hate for this than most of the other lower songs (apart from the bottom 3 ofc)

Fight Song should've been top 5

Oh as I feared Tinie crashed way too early :(

Years & Years for #1? I can see them or Little Mix of one of the other two Bieber tracks making it. Adele could have a chance but I think she will go high but not make it.

I kinda like House Every Weekend, don't mind it

love Fight Song, a big fan of the songs months before it became a hit

13 2040 Lost Frequencies - Are You With Me

Despite coming close to the top 40 on streams alone, Are You With Me became Lost Frequencies' debut top 40 hit when it was released to download sites, hitting the #2 spot behind Tinie's Not Letting Go. It ended up being the Rude to Tinie's Crazy Stupid Love and they swapped places the week after, with this becoming the final Sunday #1. And as the next chart was just 5 days away rather than 7, it's technically the shortest lived #1 ever :magic: This was also in BJSC although somehow I totally forgot that by the time it got released.

12 2230 Sigala - Easy Love

Another BJSC song now. Easy Love won the contest, and won itself a #1 peak, knocking Justin Bieber's What Do You Mean? off the top spot after just one week. Justin got his own back the following week and Easy Love spent just a single week at #1. It got the #1 spot by just 2k copies, with a few months of pre-orders boosting it.

11 2290 Jason Derulo - Want To Want Me

Jason Derulo spent four weeks at #1 with the first single from his fourth album Everything Is 4 in June 2015. It was his only top 40 entry of the year, with follow-up Cheyenne not making an impression, and the fact he decided to perform this six months later on The X Factor rather than a new track just solidified that

I'm surprised 'Want to Want Me' is that high given it's ridiculously average! And higher than the two anthemic dance tracks in the pack of 11-13.
surprised Low Frequencies isn't higher :( my fav #1 of the year by miles

10 2530 Jess Glynne - Don't Be So Hard On Yourself

Kicking off the top 10 is Jess Glynne with one of her #1 singles from album "I Cry When I Laugh". Never really got into this one, it's just a bit wordy isn't it (still, at least she isn't singing about ice cream), so at least these results recognise that "Hold My Hand" is the better song.

09 2570 OMI - Cheerleader

And just ahead is one of the defining songs of 2015, don't listen to this one out of choice much but whenever it comes on the radio / TV / when out, it's just a jam isn't it. So catchy, can't help but sing and dance along. OMI debuted behind Wiz Khalifa "See You Again" but went on to climb to #1 and remain there for four weeks.

WTF! Jason Derulo ahead of Sigala. This is criminal. <_<

Don't be so hard on yourself >>> Hold My Hand.

-_-

Sad that Don't Be So Hard On Yourself isn't higher. Such a tune - and better than Hold My Hand IMO.

Agreed.

08 2730 KDA feat. Tinie Tempah & Katy B - Turn The Music Louder (Rumble)

Tinie's second #1 of the year only got there by a narrow margin, as Turn the Music (Louder) beat One Direction's Perfect by just a few thousand. The song became KDA and Katy B's first EVER #1 :jameela: and, like Sigala, pretty much only got the #1 due to pre-orders. I quite like the song but Perfect would've been a much better #1!

07 2820 Justin Bieber - What Do You Mean?

Justin Bieber also got his first EVER #1 :jameela: with one of the defining hits of the year! What Do You Mean? is almost at a million chart sales, having spent 18 weeks to date in the UK top 10 and potentially coming to complete an all-Justin top 3 in this week's chart. The dance song showed off Justin's new direction well and after a month's build-up and a VMA performance, the track soared to #1 and spent 5 non-consecutive weeks there.

good to see the nhs choir, sam smith (x2) and 1D deservedly featuring in the bottom 5 ^_^

alas the results go downhill from there on i'm afraid  ~ sigala, lost frequencies and the sublime david zowie outside of the top10 is criminal

OMI should be top 3, at the very least :snif:, and i'm surprised 'what do you mean?' has fallen short of the top5 tbh~

out of the remaining 6 ~ years & years, jess glynne (hold my hand), or justin bieber (sorry) FTW :cheer:
