January 5, 20169 yr You'd hope so. Just if it keeps streaming all year and puts on 1M or so combined sales, after all Thinking Out Loud almost did 1M in two consecutive years That has snuck under the radar. I must be in the Top 20 of all time now.
January 5, 20169 yr That has snuck under the radar. I must be in the Top 20 of all time now. I make it the 3rd most successful chart performer (after My Way and Sex on Fire) in terms of position points (1:100 reversed). Close to 2M chart-sales. Probably most streamed song ever in the UK - possibly get a new radar :) (but I know what you mean)

Probably most streamed song ever in the UK - possibly get a new radar :) (but I know what you mean) Seeing as it's (close to) 2 million chart sales were split over two different years, its all time position will be a surprise to many that hadn't recalled that it did nearly 2 million in total. January 5, 20169 yr Author You'd hope so. Just if it keeps streaming all year and puts on 1M or so combined sales, after all Thinking Out Loud almost did 1M in two consecutive years Well, Love Yourself was co-written by Ed Sheeran, so you never know!
January 5, 20169 yr http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/t...evealed__13273/ "While the Top 40 list includes streams after their incorporation into the Official Albums Chart last March..." Oh joy. Just like they did with singles in 2014 and then revised it to include streaming for the whole 12 months.

It clearly states "streams after their incorporation", where did you get the 12 months thing from?
January 5, 20169 yr Author It clearly states "streams after their incorporation", where did you get the 12 months thing from? Last year, the OCC issued a chart which had only incorporated streams from the time they were included in the chart. They later issued another chart with all streams data added retrospectively. I assume btljs was referring to this.

January 5, 20169 yr SINGLES 3 TAKE ME TO CHURCH Hozier (1.25m) Even though I don't listen to it very often this is still a great, great song. That middle 8 is such a joy. The sales and the Year End position are a treat to behold. Edited January 5, 20169 yr by Colm
January 6, 20169 yr At least any future adjustment for streaming won't have anything like as big an effect as it did for 2014's singles chart. Yes true. Might not even affect a single position. Still, it's the principle of the thing: if you do a chart for a period you apply the same rules throughout the period.
January 6, 20169 yr Author Yes true. Might not even affect a single position. Still, it's the principle of the thing: if you do a chart for a period you apply the same rules throughout the period. I agree. They will have the data for the first few months, so they should have applied it. In the meantime, they have now listed the top forty streaming chart and the ten most streamed artists. http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/t...evealed__13274/
January 6, 20169 yr OCC have updated the top 100s of 2015 on their website now. Vidcapper seems to have been on point.
January 7, 20169 yr The Entertainment Retailers Association (ERA) annual summary for 2015 has also been published. ERA are the trade body for retailers (in the same way the the BPI are the trade body for record companies). '25' by Adele tops the Top 20 listing, which includes not only music releases but also video and games titles. As is usual with the end of year ERA summary, physical sales of music titles are upweighted by 5% to account for / to estimate sales which have taken place outside of "Defined Universe Sales", the OCC quoted sales figure which is calculated from all retailers that provide sales data to the OCC so the figure given by ERA for '25' is 2,604,850. http://www.eraltd.org/news/era-news/entert...bn-barrier.aspx Edited January 7, 20169 yr by Robbie

January 8, 20169 yr Doesn't seem like we are getting a Y/E chart purely based on downloads and physical sales then.. :( Edited January 8, 20169 yr by fiesta
