A friend in the know has told me that apparently the first single is a "dance-pop banger" but apparently most of the rest of the album is more mid-tempo but with vague (but not overwhelming) country influences. Apparently it's more "cohesive".

Apparently it was originally supposed to be 90s dance inspired but the entire direction of the album changed once Nashville happened and the earlier material got scrapped.

This to me sounds like "Kiss Me Once: Part 2 - Flop me twice".

I have an instinct that the earlier material may sound better than Nashville-inspired tracks.

I'm not getting the impression from that it's gonna sound like Kiss Me Once!

I was a lot more excited by the prospect of the earlier material, but I will of course reserve judgement. I just hope above all she's doing what she truly wants to do with this.

For all we know they were just watered down versions fo what she's done before, which wa sjust watered down versions of what she'd done before.

I have a feeling that one of them is Magnetic Electric-equivalent good.

I keep thinking that the first single could just drop unannounced any day now and I'm so excited for it!! I can still remember the first time I heard 'Into the Blue' and thought it was so euphoric; I could just listen to it non-stop and still be filled with the same level of joy each time.

Either way i dont think we are too far away from hearing the new material. I hope when they release the single, they go for it and not be messing around with instant grat releases etc.

As i said in a previous post im not allowing myself to get too excited. I was really hyped up for the kiss me once era and while i do like into the blue i wasn't hugely excited when i first heard it.

Based on WHAT?

Based on WHAT?

Based on nothing basically, it's just an instinct. Normally some of what Kylie didn't put on her album ended up sounding better than the actual album tracks. Magnetic Electric is just one of the examples.

Anyway, I look forward to the release of the lead single !

Apparently the new single is titled 'Dancing'

Yep, Kylie has confirmed the title

Yes! Really happy with that title. Kylie seems to really embrace marking anniversaries and putting celebrations in place and it makes it so exciting to be a fan. Looking forward to what this year will have in store.
