Cardi Bs album is dropping on April 6 now! Her streaming sales will be huge but think Kylie will comfortably outsell her.

I can't imagine Cardi B's album doing much in the UK.

Elton John is her biggest rival, and she'll probably lose to Revamp at least

Yeah, his albums should appear on the compilation chart because they are credited as 'various artists'.

I would be extremely surprised with Cardi B beat Kylie. Cardi B, i thought would at most be a top 10 contender.

 

The Elton John revamp could if allowed chart on the main chart, but it is likely to chart in the compilation chart. That said, with Kylie's pre-orders and multi format release mixed with the casual buyer she remains in a strong position to enter at number 1.

Still really unsure how many Kylie will sell......

 

She has been on pre-order for ever..... but then never really been high in Amazon charts etc, HMV too though they have an exclusive vinyl.... it all depends how well those bundles have sold on her website........

 

Why do I feel the 30k estimate may be a bit high now?

I'd say she has remained consistently high on preorders tbh. Always seemed to be Top 10 on Amazons preorder chart and often been in their Top 40 overall sellers. Reckon she'll have had some really good preorders and with good release week promo, I don't think we need to worry too much about overestimating her. 30/40k seems perfectly doable.

Ok good.

I can’t see Kylie selling massively. Particularly when other artists who are more popular right now like Justin Timberlake haven’t done well. It would be good if she reached no1 but I can’t see it!

But this is the UK it's her biggest market for 30 years and she is still promoting herself and her brand but not in record sales anymore.

 

She has the promo which will help. And the multiple formats could also help her push.

 

Let's see! I am hoping for sales of around 17k by Monday chart update and 25k-30k in first week

She gets Album Of The Week in the Sunday Times who describe her vocals as Chipmunk!

 

Still they do get it right by saying Stop Me Falling is euphoric

Must be the preorder showing up incorrectly?

Do you think it is anything to do with three songs being released from album that the album can now get streaming sales on those three songs being played on there own?

 

Doesn't it take 1500 songs streamed off one album to be one sale.

40k or above would be amazing sales but I don’t know whether this is being overtly optimistic. Most hard core fans will obviously have preordered but not sure she will sell that well among outside her core fan base. The jury is still out but I hope I’m wrong.
